Cenital Music dresses up to welcome a legend among Spanish DJs, Ismael Rivas. He has been a resident dj at the mythical Space of Sound in Madrid, among many others, and has taken his music to clubs such as Amnesia, Space Ibiza, Pacha, Ushuaia, Privilege, Space (Miami), Stereo (Montreal), Womb (Tokio), Le Queen (Paris), Ministry of Sound (London) and a long etc. And as a producer he has published on labels such as Suara, Global Underground, Toolroom, Yoshitoshi, Defected, Natura Viva, Armada, Nervous Rec, Beatfreak, Monique, etc.

Ismael brings us a track, Hemisphere, which by itself is a real luxury, but it is also accompanied by a series of remixes that turn this release into pure gold. Hemisphere is a powerful and lilting track that invites you to dance calmly but without excuses. A playful arpeggio accompanies the song, halfway between melodic techno and the deepest house.

In the remixes part, we have musical jewels made by true electronic goldsmiths: Nomad In The Dark, Marcos In Dub, Mate 0000 and Karras Martinez!

Rarer than a diamond, ’Emerald’ is the symbol of loyalty, new beginnings, peace and security. And this is a new beginning for new Jack Said What signing — and all-round diamond geezer — Redraft Memories.

Redraft Memories, aka Ricardo Medina, is from Mexico, and first came to JSW’s attention when he worked with Chicago house music legend Chip-E on the remix of label signature tune ‘Jack Said What’ by Steve Mac. He then remixed Steve Mac’s Detroit techno homage ‘The 313’ for the ‘Bless This Acid House’ remix album — to stunning effect. He’s previously released on labels such as Bush, Detone, Alchemy and Bitten, and now comes with his first full single release on Jack Said What.

‘Emerald’ is a techno track, but one that is made with — and is all about — love. It shimmers and undulates and will make a dancefloor bounce; you could play it anytime, but needs to be treated with care. It’s another banger from Jack Said What — let us know what you think of it.
