HER NOISE IS VIOLENCE (H.N.I.V) has been assaulting dancefloors up and down the East coast of the USA since 2009 and on Twitch since 2021 as resident DJ for Kulture Shock (Philadelphia, PA) & Interference Radio (Twitch) - She has also played at various events, festivals, raves, and club nights up and down the East Coast of the USA and BEYOND.

She has released original music on several labels under various names, most recently, physical releases with Detriti Records and Brutal Resonance Records as well as an EP on hard rave legend D. Carbone's label, Carbone Records.

One of her tracks, Into The Void, has been featured on DJMag.com and it is currently the 2nd best-selling track in Bandcamp's dark techno section.

Existing somewhere in that undefined region of sound known as Industrial music, Cenotype is the personal expression of a single individual known as Lenny B. Also known as DJ Wintermute, Lenny is a long-standing member of the NYC/ New Jersey-area industrial scene. Raised in the poisonous sprawl of depressed cities such as Bayonne and Jersey City, Lenny cut his teeth as a dancefloor DJ at several venues around the region, and was inspired by acts, such as SPK, KLINIK, SKINNY PUPPY, DIVE, SYNAPSCAPE and PSYCHIC TV, to create his own project.

Influenced by the first and second ‘Power Noise’ waves of the mid-late 1990s, Cenotype now seeks to rise above the growing mass of imitators spawned by that movement to create an identity all its own, incorporating elements of Death Industrial and Power Electronics while staying true to his origins. This project centers around themes of morality, justice, sanity, depression and, at times, even redemption.

With the 2007 debut full-length CD release, Origins (Hive Records) receiving positive reactions all over the world, and performances alongside some of the Industrial scene’s most respected artists, Cenotype was established as a force to be reckoned with. Lenny formally unveiled his ORIGINS PRODUCTIONS imprint in 2009 and produced the label’s first official release, in collaboration with Lee Bartow (aka Leech) of NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES: Origins Unfold. This very special release came out in a limited edition of 250 numbered copies. Black-on-black CD-Rs collect 15 amazing remixes from contributors, such as Iszoloscope, Caustic, Panic Lift, ESA and others, and a 3inch CD-R featuring an extended remix by NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES, are packaged in hand-assembled chipboard CD cases, stamped with the Cenotype/ORIGINS logo.

The recent addition of talented electronic musician Clive Reinhold & then of the prolific Brian Boyle (DCV/ Absence of Sincerity), means that Cenotype is now evolving into a three-man project, both live and in the studio.

As of early 2012, Cenotype has paired with the stellar Philadelphia label, 
Industry8, to release the new mini-album The Hour Before. This collection of 5 new Cenotype tracks takes a glimpse into the heart of men at the hour before that intangible time of night when we are capable of most anything. This is the hour before the nameless hour. These tracks marked an evolution in Cenotype’s style. The more traditionally rigid structure slightly gives way to a more improvisational and spontaneous rhythmic style, allowing the music to take on more of a life of its own. Three collaborations with the late Adam Waters helped to shape this aspect of this release, while also promising to alter the face of Cenotype further into the future. The Hour Before proudly includes remixes from Cervello Ellettronico, Intoner and Vynil Rob and was mastered by James Plotkin. The infamous S.Alt of Ant Zen/ Hymen fame is responsible for the utterly insane artwork.

Nuematic’s style can be described as being repeatedly punched by a prizefighter. His hard-hitting style keeps feet moving and his mixing keeps them guessing at what’s coming next. Constantly experimenting with various musical genres, Nuematic works with elements of every style of hard dance to weave a single tapestry of sound.


 Nuematic started out as a DJ a decade ago spinning power noise, aggrotech, and EBM. Over the years he’s held residencies and guested at a number of events throughout the New York area and has had the privilege of working with some of the best in the business. Nowadays he’s expanded his repertoire to include hardstyle, electro, and anything with a harsh electronic beat. He’s currently working diligently on new releases of his own, alongside mixes to spread the gospel of alternative dance music to the masses.


 A longtime percussionist before taking his rightful place behind the decks, his influences include house, metal, disco, and everything in between. Nuematic’s philosophy is simple.

Born from Montreal’s industrial scene, VNFX (Geneviève Tellier) made her debut at the Chill House in 2008. To offer a new musical alternative to Montreal’s underground scene and to promote new bands and the new harsh industrial and powernoise sounds, she organized the F.U.B.A.R. events between 2009 and 2011, first at the Piranha Bar and then moved to Bar Passeport. During those events, she played with many renowned DJs from the electronic music scene , such as: NA, Iszo, Alakazoo, Magz, Lyra, Synthamesk,  Arhiman and Biotek.
She also performed at different events like the Dimanches Bruyants at Café Chaos and some of the Badass nights organized by DJ Cytotoxik. She also played in different events, like: Industrial Fear, Tekout nights, Pandemonium festival, Renaissance Festival and Earth Dance 2012.
More interested in electronic music than ever, in 2012, VNFX turns herself towards psytrance, minimal , progressive and electronic music while adding industrial and powernoise sounds to the mix.
