Let's welcome back our dearest @cafe-de-la-jungle to the thirteenth episode of our Herbarium mix series. We are still swaying in hot memory of our recent QEONE x On Board Music night at OHM Berlin and feel that this mix mirrors some bits of his groovy side which he presented back then.

What he says about the connection between this plant and his mix: 
The monstera plant's ability to thrive in the rich variety of the jungle, from shadowy undergrowth to sunlit clearings, mirrors my versatile view of electronic music inside the mixtape. Just as the monstera effortlessly adjusts to its surroundings, my mix weaves a sonic journey that spans an array of electronic music genres, from the slow dubby beginning thru more high-energy rhythms towards the melodic end. 
The plant’s adaptability and resilience find reflection in the the mixtape's capacity to traverse musical terrains, providing listeners with a multifaceted journey through the electronic music jungle.

Her deep immersive, colorful and analogue soundscapes have earned her a respected name for herself in and out of the electronic community. We are so excited and privileged to have curate a CoziMix for us strictly original compositions both ambient & classical made for our winter days & nights :)

Cozi questions....

1.⁠ ⁠How and why did you get into producing / dj’ing?
Producing came from the impulse to express myself and DJing, the desire to connect with others

2.⁠ ⁠Who, What/where was your most coziest gig you've been to or experienced and why?
Caterina Barbieri at the Barbican, the rolling waves of modular bliss, a mesmerising wash of colours 

3.⁠ ⁠Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert in the scene?
Introversion dictates and governs every aspect of my being, but I love people, and that means sharing the listening experience with others. 

4.⁠ ⁠If you had to choose 1 track to vibe out too forever, what would it be
‘Says’ by Nils Frahm. There’s no other harmonic tension and release that feels so rewarding - it continues to be a gift that keeps giving. 

5.⁠ ⁠What is your routine when preparing for a gig / production/writing session? Do you have any special remedies/ mental/physical prep/ places to go to? :)
Sensory experiences, feeling the earth beneath my feet. Yoga and sauna. The gratitude of being alive.

An integral player in the current Japanese wave of house and techno; we’re pleased to welcome DJ and producer Gonno to our mix series.

Gonno’s DJ sets strive towards story-telling: drawing on eclectic sounds from the spectrum of house and techno, and acidy and melodic flavours to draw clubbers in. Meanwhile, his productions have earnt staunch support of the local scene, as well as further afield thanks to releases on Perc Trax, Endless Flight and Ostgut Ton.

Experience a taste of this here in Gonno’s contribution to the series. As suited to headphones as the dancefloor, buckle in to 90-minutes bobbing along melodic heaters, frantic techno, flecks of acid and electro and a generous dose of his own stellar productions.
