SHDW presents ‘Federation Of Rytm IV’: a bumper 30-track collection spanning the past, present, and future of techno.

Offering powerful standalone club cuts and a cohesive deep-dive, the expansive VA lands on 24th October 2025.
The fourth edition of SHDW’s flagship ‘Federation Of Rytm’ VA series has been carefully curated by the DJ/ producer and head honcho over more than a year, with close attention to detail given to sequencing. It is a balance of label regulars and debutants that represents the past, present, and future, both sonically and through the generational diversity of the artists involved. There are plenty of surprises along the way while always remaining true to the Mutual Rytm ethos and reflecting the journey of the night from start to finish, whether that's in intimate, sweaty clubs or on big festival stages.

"I’ve lived with most of these tracks for over a year, testing them on the dancefloor and fine-tuning the selection. Each comes from artists I deeply admire, making this compilation a snapshot of the label’s evolution and a glimpse of what’s next. ‘Federation Of Rytm IV’ celebrates connection across generations, while capturing the sounds that inspire me most — telling a story from start to finish.” – SHDW.

Across 30 tracks in the digital collection and 24 on four sides of wax, the release explores the full breadth of the Mutual Rytm sound. Driving grooves and relentless percussion set the pace, gradually unfolding into hypnotic and atmospheric passages that invite deeper immersion. Pulsating low-end power alternates with eerie minimalism, while bursts of futuristic energy and cavernous kick drums keep the tension high. Elsewhere, dub textures and moments of introspection provide balance, creating a narrative arc that moves fluidly between intensity and release, atmosphere and tension, darkness and light.

‘Federation Of Rytm IV’ lands as a 4x12” vinyl package and digitally via Mutual Rytm on 24th October 2025.

The new Amsterdam-based label @ImmaterialArchives celebrates its first release, featuring tracks by the label heads @CYBofficial and @Elisa-Batti and remixes by Michal Jablonski and Wrong Assesment. Monument's pick for the premiere is track Neon Sculptures, remixed by Wrong Assessment.

Emerging artist from the French Techno scene, Angel Karel has built her reputation with high-technical DJ sets : her dark and industrial universe is regularly bringing dancers into an hypnotic trance, that’s why Angel Karel is frequently booked to close parties, with her EBM, industrial and Rythmic Noise techno music.

Involved into the techno scene, and passionned since her teenager age by the underground movement, Angel Karel owns a real philosophy of life fully connected with this culture.

Beside her venues and her music productions, Angel Karel is also an entrepreneur, actively supporting the Queer movement in France and the local techno Scene of Lyon, trying to show up women’s talent. Indeed, Angel Karel is considering Techno music as a mean of resistance, and as a way to break social codes, to change mentalities and move into a general open-minded spirit, to open the society to get always more freedom.

This spirit of liberty has brought Angel Karel to create her own collective : The Future Is Female (TFIF), which is preaching values of tolerance and freedom of the underground universe, especially during the [NO GENDER] parties. [NO GENDER] is a full artistic project, an experience while the artists and the public are entering in a symbiotic relationship; a well-known project in France, that Angel Karel would like to expand out of the borders.
