Spinball is an alternative rock band from Athens, Greece, first formed in January 2006. In June 2007, Spinball released their first demo “Spinball”, containing five tracks. The band began to record their first studio album in July 2010, with producer Dimitris Dimopoulos (Groove Productions). This first album, called “Roger’s Fable”, released in May 2011, under the Orkestral Promenade Productions label. The second studio album “Shadows” released in September 2015 under B-Otherside Records label and contains 8 tracks. “Shadows” is also available on vinyl.
The band consists of members Nikos Karatzidis (vocals), Panagiotis Tsevrenis (guitar), Konstantinos Mavrantzas (keyboards), Pandelis Chandris (drums) and George Valvis (bass). The band originally included Giannis Vrettakos (bass) until May 2012 and still is the main lyricist for the band.

Artist Biography

Nikos Koulouris, mostly known for his passionate Saxophone performances, is a Saxophonist - Professor of Saxophone, Music Producer and Composer based in Athens, Greece. 

As an educator, he has been a distinguished professor of Saxophone at the “National Conservatory” of Greece since 2005 and at “Phillipos Nakas Conservatory” since 2018. He has been teaching both Classical and Modern-Jazz Saxophone. 

As a music soloist he has performed in Theatrical Performances, as well as in clubs, live stages, auditoriums. He has performed in concerts with the “Big Band” and also with the “Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens”. He has also performed with the all-time Classic Pop singer of Olympians, PASXALIS Arvanitidis, and the famous American Pop, Soul singer-performer, Julie Mascino. 

In October 2013  founded  "The Groove Attack Big Band" in which he served as Artistic Manager and Conductor and also as first alto sax performer.  The band performed in Theatres, including "Gialino Music Theater", "Holy-wood Stage", "National Observarvatory of  Athens", "Anna and Maria Kalouta Theater" of the Municipality of Athens, etc. 
In May 2015 the band released its major hit single "Polles Fores", which was a remake of Manolis Xiotis original hit composition in a swing style and in March 2017 they released the recording of Xiotis’s “Since you want it”, live from studio Sierra.

Nikos’s personal discography though was launched in 2011 with his debut EP “dare to dream”.  In 2013 he Released his new single, "Shine on me", produced by Aural Fragment, featuring Maria Morris in vocals. In 2016 he released his inspired cover of Cindy Loper’s “Time After Time”, as well as an Album devoted to the music of “Bregovic”, both released from FmRecords. In 2017 a new album came out covering the music of Simon Kouskounis, “Whisper Not”, and in 2018 he released an EP with four covers of the famous Greek Retro Song “As erxosoun gia ligo”. The song became immediately a hit in all clubs and DJ playlists after it was remixed by Pantelis Kotakis also known as the famous “D.J. Pantelis”. 

In July 2020 Nikos produced and released “One Moment in Time”, a full album covering his favourite songs from the 80s and 90s as well as new material of his, exploring the boundaries of music in different genres. The album has a “pop touch” but Nikos isn’t afraid of getting experimental and break those boundaries on occasion,...
