Capturing the attraction of true “Hip Hoppers” and “Musical Connoisseurs” might be a difficult task for many artists. Chicago-based rapper J dot Scarlett has transcended Chicago Hip-Hop with his witty word-play and unique style of Hip Hop. J dot Scarlett also known as Paper Planes was born in Boston, but moved to Chicago soon after. He was raised on Chicago’s southeast side which would introduce and force him into dangerous and comprising situations. He would use these events to create the music we now hear today. He would develop the charisma and ingenious rhyme scheme that would be displayed in his music. His love for the art of “lyrical word play” and technique separates him from your average hip hop artist. During his high school years he would team up with Jimmy Wells to form the “widely renowned” group what we now know today as “Neu Modern Mafia”. Teamed with super-producer Jonny Yayo he continues to create a style of music that would draw the attention of many listeners and leave a permanent mark on Hip Hop and Rap alike.
