The 15th Stock5 release marks the return of the fabulous Cesare vs Disorder who blast off into this EP with amazing
sonic arms.
A perfect example is the A1 “Chacha Malaga”. Before we get fooled by the funk driven bassline we are pulled down
into some sinister synthie worlds. The trickily arranged percussions and psycho cords stop us from drowning yet.
“Saturday in Berlin (but feels like Cuba)” on the other hand shuffles its way into the ear channel with an effectively
marching bassdrum and we are being whipped with instruments of sonic force. Scanner sounds make our stomach
rumble and our feet moving. With its beautiful melodies this track is perfectly crafted for the quiet time of the
dancefloor where things need to be put “in the right place”. Surely to be found in many artists record cases.
Flip the wax and meet C vs D in cooperation with Circus Company Artist Aquarius Heaven. Together they played and
celebrated at several notorious Stock5 parties at Munich’s Bob Beaman & Rote Sonne Club and in the title track of this
EP we find the synthesized quintessence of their artistical work. Animals Club might the appropriate continue.
Electro, need I say more? Catchy male vocals, beats from the electric blue alley and some shimmering hi hats- another
sure shot on this EP.
At the end of the EP we take a walk through “Vercelli by Night” and get captured by its breathtaking ambient. Far away
from the lousy minimal tracks that congest our ears these days this guy is in absolute charge of what he is creating:
Electronic Soul Music.

Upon ‘Awakening’, it is instantly clear that this EP will contrast all of Milo Mill’s previous work. The 5 track collection embodies obscure, apprehensive aspects of the Austrian producer’s mind, allowing the listener to follow on a hedonistic journey through the infinite darkness and voyage into the abyss. ‘1 3 1 3’ takes on influences of Hip-Hop & Future Bass, but never quite settles on any particular sub-genre within electronic music. Put simply, it is a sound of it’s own; an incomparable, beautifully dark enigma.

Luca C & Brigante formed in London and have been consistently impressing with their bumping brand of house and now they make the move to Jamie Jones' high-flying imprint with the 'Invisions' EP.

It seems only fitting then that the label daddy himself should have a hand in remixing the track and Jones has turned in an edit that fidgets and rolls with every turn. Murphy's vocals have been expertly chopped up and there's a heavy groove running through both the drums and the bassline.

GREG WILSON’S EARLY 80’S FLOORFILLERS: 
A fascinating insight on how the fading Jazz-Funk scene gave way to the emerging Electro-Funk movement in the early 80’s, ‘Greg Wilson’s Early 80’s Floorfillers’, marks the 30th anniversary of when these tracks first appeared. Compiled from his record lists of the time, and unfolding month by month, Greg Wilson counts down the Top 10 Floorfillers played at his venues during the key years of ’82 and ’83. Featured, most notably, on his Tuesday sessions at Wigan Pier and Wednesday gatherings at Legend in Manchester, the most cutting-edge weekly black music nights of the era, these were the clubs most associated with the evolving Electro-Funk sound.

The majority of music played on the black scene in the UK was initially only available on import, mainly out of New York during this period, with the club nights described as ‘upfront’, meaning that the DJ’s were way ahead of the curve – what they played now, others played later, or not at all. Without these DJ’s, many now classic dance tracks would never have become UK hits (many without enjoying similar crossover success in the US) – the reason they were released here in the first place was because these specialist DJ’s were breaking them via the underground.

Things would change in a big way during those 2 years; we were entering the hybrid age for dance music, and the oncoming House and Techno and Hip Hop directions would all owe a huge debt to this era of dance alchemy and groove experimentation.

Sonar Kollektiv - 15 Years Of Volxmusik 

You’ll always find a reason to party if you will. Sonar Kollektiv’s 15th anniversary is more than just another invitation to let one’s hair down though.

Sonar Kollektiv was founded in 1997 by Jazzanova. Designed as a platform for own releases it soon attracted numerous new discoveries and like-minded musicians to lead their trumps right here. Still it was never the intention of Sonar Kollektiv to pursue one specific sound or provide an already existing scene. Each and every release on the label (250 and counting) was at all times meant to illustrate the musical taste of the collective, its flavourful development and recollection of past sounds. The various compilations and label showcases played a big part of it. From the renowed „Secret Love“ compilation (No. 6 has been released in October 2012), the „Computer Incarnations For World Peace“ edition, the „...Boadcasting“ and „....Mixing“-series to the „Romanian Jazz“ label showcase Sonar Kollektiv continuously cares about broadening its own and the horizon of any type of music lovers. How broad this horizon can be expanded showed the release of Âme’s „Rej“ in 2005. Shorthandly minimal techno was redifined and at the same time the sublabel Innervisions (runned by Dixon) was leveraged to worldwide fame. Other milestones in the eventful history of Sonar Kolletiv were the discovery of the New Zealand reggae soul combo Fat Freddy’s Drop (2005), the debuts by Micatone (2003), Benny Sings (2005), Clara Hill (2003) and Eva Be (2004), the first releases by Dimlite (2003), Tricksi (2006), Christian Prommer’s Drumlesson (2007), as well as Georg Levin (2005) and his collaborative project with Dixon, Wahoo (2004). Also for some of today’s legends of more sophisticated electronic music, like Ulrich Schnauss, Ben Klock and Marcin Kozlowski (now a member of Whitest Boy Alive) Sonar Kollektiv offered a stepping stone to their international careers. And in 2003 a certain Eric Wahlforss released his first record here, just before founding Soundcloud.

When at the end of 2009 the rate of fire ceased some thought the label is running on empty or lost touch to contemporary sounds. But the releases of this year so far should prove doubters wrong. The remix album „Jazzanova Upside Down“ (released in January) gathers the who’s who of the currenty most happening and game-changing DJs and producers (Henrik Schwarz, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Filippo Moscatello, Manuel Tur, Mark E, and more) to catapult Jazzanova classics into the future. By signing Phil Gerus from Moscow, the new project Hot Coins out of the UK, EnaWadan from South Africa and the pan-Geman duo Paskal & Urban Absolutes four of the most promising new acts slantingly offside the dancefloor have been added to the already impressive roster. And once again all true pop aficionados with an addiction for soul and a genuine craft in songwriting are pierced to the heart with the brand new albums by FETSUM („The Colors Of Hope“) and Micatone („Wish I Was Here“).

But what is the formula of success of the Berlin based label? A dance music imprint that – with a few exceptions – actually doesn’t release club music? Is it even after all exactly this? Delievering music for prior to, succeeding and one day after a club night?

There’s no other German record label that can boast such an adventurous range of styles: reggae, folk, electronica, jazz, funk, calypso, house, techno and now also chillwave, dubstep, dream pop, and so on. At Sonar Kollektiv there’s somehow room for everything. Still, all of the 250 and counting releases have one common denominator: It’s music made out of passion - without any financial aim or attemps of ingratiation. From and for music lovers.

Our 15 Years compilation features this adventurous range of styles and artists, from Hot Coins, Micatone, FETSUM to Jazzanova, Stee Downes, Eva Be and Paskal & Urban Absolutes. Including unreleased tracks and exclusive material.

Serialism reaches the 20 releases mark with the return of two of the most promising 
artists of the roster, Pablo Tarno, , also spotted on Remake Musique, and Anthony 
Constans, who crafted SER013. The duo puts together a timeless Ep with 4 tracks 
subtly cruising through the depths of Detroit and the raw territories of dubby minimal 
techno. A gentle but edgy approach that brings another touch of elegance to the 
Serialism catalog. On remix duty we find the French master Tolga Fidan, head honcho 
of Bass Cadet, knight of Cadenza and Vakant to name a few, pushing things up a notch 
with his unstoppable groove skills, transforming the original cut in an epic floor burner. 
The Ep comes complete with a digital exclusive afterhour pearl, Notonos, featuring 
Detroit native Jeffrey Felch.
