Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst scored a Beatport #1 with the exquisite “Memories” with fellow electro-house maestro KSHMR, launched themselves head-first into DJmag’s top 100 DJs list as a new entry at #39, remixed Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s global smash hit “Higher Place” to great response and played magnificent sets at both Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld this Summer. So, To round off this stratospheric year and to thank all their fans for their invaluable support, Bassjackers will now release what could prove to be their biggest hit yet, the brilliant “Bring that beat” available worldwide from October 26th.

“Bring the beat” encapsulates all of the traits that Bassjackers have become synonymous with in their rapid ascent to stardom: an infinitely danceable beat, wildly unique electronic textures and sounds, diverse breakdowns and  of course, a party starting attitude. With “Bring that beat” the duo have revisited the formidable tones of their most revered tracks, such as the aforementioned “Memories” and the outstanding “Alamo”, whilst simultaneously taking their flailing sound into new, uncharted territory.

With their entry into the prestigious top 100 DJs list and the huge amount of support they have received from fellow artists and their legions of fans alike, the duo have undoubtedly cemented their place at the forefront of this ever expanding genre. Belgian Dirty Workz boss Coone has teamed up with Smash the House Dutch maestros  Bassjackers to bring together hard style and house in one humungous track. “Sound Barrier”, available from November the 16th, sees the best of both genres come together to form one of the biggest songs of the year. Loaded with towering drops, ethereal breakdowns and a series of thrilling twists and turns, the latest Smash the House release is one of the finest of the year. 

The tense vocals are provided by the rising GLDY LX, and form the spine of a track that explores both the heavy hitting rhythms of its hardstyle influences, but also finds space to expand on the melody and harmony synonymous with house music. Fluctuating between hellish, bass heavy percussion and mechanical, jittering synths, “Sound Barrier” is the perfect synergy between two disparate styles of electronic music, and expertly captures the most thrilling elements of each. 

With Bassjackers recently entering DJMag’s top 100 DJs list as a new entry at 39, along with Coone’s inclusion at number 49, “Sound Barrier” signifies the great success that both artists have achieved in a whirlwind 2015. The track is the collaboration between three undeniably huge talents, each providing their own distinctive virtues to a track bursting with amazing elements, sounds and ideas.
