Born February 23, 1988 to Clarence and Natalie Jones, Christopher "Casanova" Jones began working in the realms of music around the age of 8 when he was taught to sight read notes. He was in about second grade and the first instrument he learned to play was the xylophone. Casanova fell in love with the instrument mainly because it combined the complexity of actually reading notes and learning music along with the pulsating power of percussion. Christopher's forte. By the age of ten or eleven he had not only gotten pretty good at the xylophone but mastered the recorder and began learning the saxophone. He also had befriended a kid younger than himself who played drums whom he frequently watched in hopes of learning to play on his own one day. By the age of 12 he was playing drums for his local church choir. Casanova also had a strange love for free verse and acting, all through out school he performed in plays and poetry readings where he honed his talent of the pen. By the age of 14 or 15 he was composing poems on the regular and beginning to teach himself to put them to music. By his sophomore year of high school he had taught himself to count bars and actual compose and record hip hop tracks right on his home computer. With just a plain love for performance Christopher Casanova enrolled into Wittenberg University, a private school in Springfield, Ohio, where he studied Theatre and Dance. This not being necessarily the direction he wanted to go, after 4 years he dropped out to pursue music mainly because he spent the majority of his time there not performing in plays but playing music with other campus talents and this just became what people knew him for. "It was never my intention to not finish at Wittenberg," says Chris, "I just made a really hasty choice, didn't weigh all my options and wound up 'stuck'". Christopher's plan now is to continue growing and honing his craft until one day he can make a living in music. "Its not that I limit myself to one specific facet of art. I love to rap, dance, sing (a little), play music, act, paint, and even take photo graphs. I just love artistic expression so I would never consider myself just a rapper or a rapper at all. I'm a lyrically inclined performer." "When its all said and done I don't want there to be a place they won't see me. Movies, magazines, tape decks, and I'm already in a museum. Imma kick it till they tired of me." Casanova's style would be considered by most very versatile. There is no one specific label for what he does, he uses his voice and lyrics as more of an instrument rather than a speech mechanism. His words hit in a pattern much like the notes of a guitar solo with rises and falls, giving listeners something to ride and vibe to. Casanova's rhymes depict life rather it be the fast times, the rough ones, or everything in between. His main goal is to relate what he sees through his eyes to the imaginations of those within his reach. With one hit song after another his plan, again, is to take over the world.
