BIO:
The Icelandic band Gus Gus originally spawned from a shortcut made by Siggi Kjartansson and Stefán Árni (a.k.a. Arni & Kinski) called “Pleasure”. Initially the band was acclaimed as an avant-garde collective of musicians, producers, filmmakers and performers. They mixed together different mediums to create a unique mixture of sound and vision. Their trademark style is combined with funky bass, streamlined synths and the intelligent use of technology and art. Árni & Kinski did the visual part and the musical side was driven by Birgir Þórarinsson (a.k.a. Veiran), Stephan Stephenssen (a.k.a President Bongo), Magnús Guðmundsson (a.k.a. Herb Legowitz). The live band was fronted by singers Daníel Ágúst, Hafdís Huld and Magnús Jónsson (a.k.a. Blake).

Gus Gus is an electronic soul band formed in 1995. A short break in a making of the shortcut made it possible for the first Gus Gus self-titled album to be born. In 1996 the band signed to 4AD Records that released their widely acclaimed second album “Polydistortion”. "This Is Normal" followed in 1999 and finally "Gus Gus vs T-World" appeared in 2000. During the 4AD years, Gus Gus started touring massively, stirring the music world with their powerful live-show. The touring life was stressful for the nine some and eventually called for changes within the line up. Six original members left and the three remaining producers (Veiran, President Bongo and Herb Legowitz) soon found hope in a new female singer, Earth aka Urður Hákonardóttir. The band has ever since focused on being a musical entity. 

In 2002 Gus Gus re-appeared with their 4th studio album "Attention" which includes their most successful dance floor hit “David”. On the album the band teamed up with the legendary producer Gareth Jones and Finnish multi-instrumentalist Jimi Tenor. Jerpa (Jernej Pavlič) is DJ and co-founder of Sinergia community and Flows Festival is a prominent presence in Slovenia’s electronic music scene.

His journey has taken him to the stages of festivals like Balance Croatia, Endorphin, Flows, and Castle Festival, as well as events by Eclypse, Butik, Soundhitectures, Magnetik Music, and more. He’s also performed in the region’s top clubs, from Ljubljana’s K4 and Cvetličarna to Zagreb’s Boogaloo - sharing stages with artists such as Marsh, Roy Rosenfeld, Chris Luno and others.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, and labels such as Lost & Found, Soundgarden, and Sudbeat, Jerpa’s sets are known for their storytelling nature, guiding through an emotional journey with driving progressive and melodic house, underground sensibilities, and unapologetic vocals.

As a co-founder of Sinergia and Flows Festival, he’s deeply involved in building a community around melodic and progressive electronic music in Slovenia. He also runs the @sinergia-flows podcast, featuring artists from across the globe.

Scottish-born dynamic vocalist, Nyree Huyser, celebrates over 20 years of international success in the entertainment industry and most recently reached Rita Ora’s top 3 contestants on season 12 of ‘The Voice Australia’. 

No stranger to the big stage, Nyree has performed at both the Christchurch Stadium and Auckland Spark Arena as well as headlining festivals such as Jim Beam Homegrown, SYNTHONY Festival and Rhythm and Alps with the orchestral phenomenon ’SYNTHONY’. The show has also taken her to bucket-list venues such as the O2 Arena in London and the opening of brand new Saudi Arabian oasis ‘Sindalah’, where she opened for none other than soulful sensation Alicia Keys.

In 2023 Nyree released her second studio album, ‘Fixing Heads and Chasing Tails’, after a 10-year hiatus to have 3 beautiful children following her nu-disco collab album ‘Funky Tambourine’ with Scottish funk band ‘The Autocharm’. This year Nyree is soon to release a third body of work entitled ‘GROWN’.

Nyree frequently performs her own headline shows internationally including a special tribute to Céline Dion - ‘The Power of Céline’ - so far having performed in Greece, Belgium, France, the UK, the Philippines, Mauritius and Fiji with more dates planned for the next few years.
