D.C.-raised producer and DJ known for crafting the kind of music people didn’t know they needed until they heard it. Her relationship with sound began not in a studio, but everywhere sound could live—on the radio, her iPod, the TV, the background of daily life. As a kid, she would hear a song and immediately want to understand it. Not just the melody or the beat, but the DNA of the track—how every element, every texture, every transition worked. She would recreate songs from scratch, piece by piece, not for anyone else, but for the thrill of unlocking how it all fit together.

That obsession turned into a lifelong passion. She completed her first full song on January 8, 2014—a track she laughingly remembers as "truly horrid," but also a turning point. That day marked the moment music stopped being just a fascination and started becoming her purpose.

She went on to earn her Bachelor of Music in Piano at James Madison University, specializing in Music Industry and Sound Design. Remarkably, she taught herself piano by ear in under a year to earn her place in the program. Once admitted, her artistic future was shaped by one person above all: Dr. Lori Piitz.
More than just a professor, Dr. Piitz became a mentor, a creative ally, and a second family. In a conservatory environment steeped in tradition, she encouraged MAELIXX to break the mold. Dr. Piitz created a space where experimentation wasn’t just allowed—it was celebrated. She championed the fusion of classical discipline with unorthodox ideas and stood by her every step of the way.
One moment MAELIXX will never forget: Dr. Piitz once told her, “When you're touring the world, we can video call your lessons.” It wasn’t just a throwaway line—it was a declaration of belief. In a world that often demands proof before support, Dr. Piitz offered faith first. That unwavering support gave MAELIXX the courage to be bold, to be weird, to be real.
To this day, she credits Dr. Piitz as the single greatest influence on her artistic and personal evolution.

Even in structured environments like Massanutten Military Academy, where she attended high school, music remained her sanctuary and her form of rebellion. At 18, she attended a masterclass with Armin van Buuren, which opened her eyes to the limitless potential of electronic music. By her sophomore year of college, she was already DJing for friends, experimenting with energy, mixing, and crowd connection. What started in basements and house parties quickly grew into a calling—and a reputation.

MAELIXX approaches the DJ booth like a composer at a piano. She uses the CDJ as an instrument, manipulating loops, filters, and effects in real time—not just to mix tracks, but to remix the moment. Her sets aren’t pre-packaged—they’re alive, unpredictable, shaped by the energy in the room. Whether she’s delivering a slow build or a chaotic drop, every second is intentional. Her mission is always the same: to make people feel something—and then push them a little further.
Her musical influences span from Alesso, Avicii, Martin Garrix, and David Guetta to the boundary-pushing creativity of Lady Gaga, particularly her ARTPOP era, which MAELIXX calls her "blueprint for sonic rebellion." She’s drawn to artists who aren’t afraid to be bold, emotional, and a little weird—all qualities that echo through her own music.

MAELIXX has brought her electrifying performances to cities across the U.S., including Washington D.C., Richmond, Miami, Charlottesville, Mesa (AZ), and more. She’s headlined shows in New York City, Philadelphia, and Boston, and currently holds residencies in both Philly and D.C. Her high-impact sets have been featured on the Hacienda Show, and she’s shared the stage with artists such as Vicetone, Julian Jordan, Nostalgix, Bassjackers, Tiësto, Dom Dolla, John Summit, and others.
Of all these experiences, Julian Jordan holds a special place in her journey. He was a major influence during her earliest days as a DJ—so much so that many of his tracks were featured in the very first mix she ever released. A funny story for MAELIXX is that she was planning to open her next show with one of Julian’s tracks and then, by a wonderful twist of fate, her very next show was actually performing on the same stage as him. It was a full-circle moment that perfectly captured how far she’d come since those early mixes and bedroom sessions.

As a proud member of Cosmic Academy, a Miami-based artist collective focused on education and empowerment, MAELIXX stands for more than just sound—she champions community, growth, and creative integrity. In the studio, she’s constantly testing boundaries: playing with genre, reimagining form, and designing sonic spaces that feel both cohesive and surprising.

Her performances are defined not just by their intensity, but by the sense of fun she brings to them. Known for her signature sunglasses and nostalgic Sillybandz, she mixes a sense of personal playfulness with high-level professionalism. Her partnership with PRADA reflects her evolving blend of fashion, art, and music—each feeding into the other to create a full-spectrum experience, and PRADA is "super cool to be a part of."

With her sights set on headlining Ultra Music Festival in Miami, MAELIXX is on a mission to electrify the global stage—one bold, unexpected, emotionally charged sound at a time.
