This was recorded using Mixcraft. I used some drum loops, and a virtual Hammond organ. I used a Strat style Yamaha with a humbucker in the bridge position and ran it through a Trademark 10 by Tech 21.  The bass is an Aria Pro II through a Johnson practice amp. The vocals were doubled by me singing them twice. One is a ghost vocal recorded with the computer mic and there is also some acoustic guitar. The other vocals were recorded with an Shure SM-58

This blues song features Aaron Darling on trumpet.  We recorded recorded some ideas for this song while I played guitar and sang to come up with lyrics and Aaron played some horn riffs. We then recorded this song in earnest but we decided to put the rough sketch at the end because we like the natural ambiance of the large room in which we recorded.

JC's Lament

This song was my first attempt using Mix Craft 6 or any other computer studio for that matter. Mixcraft later proved t be buggy. I used Behringer  U Control UCA 202 interface plugged into a USB port. on a HP laptop.

The drums were a loop that come with the program. I played guitars and bass. The bass was a JB Player P-bass clone and the guitar was a Fender Telecoustic. with Fishman electronics. 

This song was inspired by a trip to a salon for a hair cut when I asked the woman cutting my hair what I should do about ingrown hairs on my legs. She offered to give me a wax job which I declined. At that she began to extoll the virtues of having a hairless body. She said that if she waxed all of my hair that my dick would look like an anaconda. I blush easily and I must have been blushing then because soon all the off duty stylist were flocking around watching me trying to keep my cool. Playing in bar bands I thought I had seen and hear it all but this was so off the wall it stayed in my head for a while so I thought it might be a good material for a topical song.
