When it comes to Hardstyle, it’s impossible to argue the fact that any artist has had a bigger impact on the genre than Headhunterz. From the moment his first records were released, his unique melodic and energetic take on the genre sparked a new movement within the international music scene. A rise unparalleled, Headhunterz continues to take Hardstyle to new heights. 

Willem Rebergen, better known as Headhunterz, kicked off his DJ career over a decade ago. A visit to Qlimax 2003 lit a spark in Willem, leading to an uncontrollable wildfire, as he dedicated himself to becoming the best producer in the genre. His originals, as well as the album he made with Wildstylez under the Project One moniker, redefined the hardstyle sound of the late 2000’s. Headhunterz’ new take on hardstyle music made the genre grow into an international phenomenon and become something worldly. 

From 2014-2017, Headhunterz took on a new challenge and found himself headlining major festivals like Ultra Music Festival, Coachella and EDC, making him explore the boundaries of his own, musical imagination and discover new parts of the world as well as different territories within the electronic dance scene. Though it did trigger his creativity, Willem became homesick, missing his beloved hardstyle scene. In 2017, in front of 60,000 ecstatic fans who thought they had lost their hero, he announced his comeback to hardstyle at Defqon.1. With open arms, the community embraced him, as he travelled the world to celebrate his return with fans, old and new. It took him to 125 performances across 34 countries in 2018 alone, a journey which inspired him to create ‘The Return of Headhunterz’, an album that tied past, present and future together. Surpassing 15 million streams on Spotify, the album – along with his No. 28 position in the 2018 DJ Mag Top 100, showed that, no matter the adventures Headhunterz would undertake, he’ll always find a warm welcome in his home base.

The album also marked the launch of a new label – ART OF CREATION, with his colleague Wildstylez. A creative and dynamic platform that bridges the gap between music makers and community. At the same time, Headhunterz relaunched the HARD with STYLE Podcast, recorded live from a brand new studio, with state-of-the-art equipment and sound. This is where new Headhunterz music comes to life, plans to conquer new territory for his tribe are forged and the one thing reigns that will always remain Headhunterz’ greatest achievement; the music from within.

Jay Hardway continues to be one of the dance scene’s most exciting and well-loved names, with a formidable discography rapidly building up alongside a burgeoning global tour schedule. Hailing from Drunen in the South of the Netherlands, he began producing and DJing at the age of 14, influenced by the big producers of those early days. Now located in Amsterdam, he is a serious musical force with many millions of plays and sales to his name.

Jay’s very first release came in the form of a collaboration with then-unknown teenager Martin Garrix, the free download Registration Code. It marked the beginning of a successful and enduring working relationship between the duo that continues on to this day. Their next collaboration Wizard was released on Spinnin’ and quickly reached the #1 spot on Beatport and picked up 3.6 million views on YouTube in its first week. The duo released the smash Spotless in 2016, which has had over 15 million views on YouTube and still counting. 
Further collabs with fellow scene greats like Firebeatz, Bassjackers, MOTi have provided yet more dancefloor gold, as have his remixes of Armin Van Buuren, Bourgeous and Sam Feldt.

Aside from these successful collaborations, Jay is also well known for his solo endeavours in which he can show us his love for beautiful melodies the most. 
With the likes of Bootcamp, Electric Elephants, Somnia and Golden Pinapple he takes us on a journey with his complete and diverse spectrum of sounds. While best known for his high-end production, he has branched out into more mellow sounds on tracks like the stunning trance-influenced chugger Somnia. Most recently he has incorporated melodic vocals to his track such as Need It and Wired. Jay is always on the lookout for something new and exciting not only with his music but also with the videos that come along with his tracks, like the Electric Elephants video which was shot in Japan and collected over 5 million views.

2017 Seeing him climbing the legendary DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll to #68. He graced the stages of the world’s biggest clubs and festivals such as Tomorrowland, EDC New York, Hakkasan Las Vegas, MTV Mobile Beats, Sziget, WiSH Outdoor, Creamfields Brasil, Electric Love, Pacha NYC, AMF and Mysteryland to name a few.

Every scene has its hypes that come and go; hypes that rise to a euphoric zenith, only to fall once they reach a state of supersaturation. The perfect substrate for this is the esoterically charged club culture of Techno-Mekka-Berlin which threatens to blow at any moment. However, every climax refers to a golden mean. We may not always recognise this constant at first sight, but it is undeniably the basis for everything that Berlin ever brought forth.
David Dorad is part of this basis. He is one of the characters that have kept the scene very much alive in the past decades. Born and raised in Halle, he came to the capital city after the reunification as a squatter in 1994 and began DJing. After having foraged through all facets of contemporary music with youthful zest, he commenced to play his first gigs. In 2004 he founded the party collective „Bachstelzen“ with friends. The great attention to detail and homely atmosphere of their events extended their name well beyond the city limits. For some years now, they have been a constant at the Fusion Festival, too. And wherever the Bachstelzen showed up, the Bar25 was never far behind. At first David Dorad
was a guest here, then a DJ and soon a valued friend. Ultimately the in-house booking agency of Bar25 (nowadays known as SASOMObookings) offered him a home base. By now he plays every weekend. And not just within German borders! He‘s well underway in expanding his international status. David is what we would call a charismatic thoroughbred DJ, far from being the business type. You won’t find any Twitter messages or pictures of his cat online. He is so very Berlin: down-to-earth and versatile. When he plays a set, his wish is for everyone to enjoy themselves, regardless of wether they‘re Hippy, Yuppie or Punk. Be it techno, deep or funky; he won‘t submit to any musical dictate within a given scene and prefers to take on the long afterhour shifts. These are most ideal for weaving a soft but vivid
soundscape whose colours are characterised by the season, the setting or the crowd. His harmonious sets are packed with honest energy and don‘t shy away from knocking forth a sassy electronic version of the Berliner tongue. Sometimes a bit cheeky or brash, but always meaning well. He determines this diction by aptly intertwining well-tried classics with new, carefully chosen records, weaving away, until the bigger picture reveals itself to his listeners. It‘s as if his magic hand commands the art of splitting synapses and rejoining them as desired. That would put him ahead of most brain surgeons! David doesn‘t bask in the past or in the future; he‘s a man of the moment. And this moment
he gladly lets drift.

Ever since Animal Trainer launched their global party campaign, the Swiss duo’s unique brand of ‘slow rave’ has captured the imaginations of countless electronic music lovers all over the world and spread their gospel to thousands, if not millions, of music lovers. Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson are the two men behind Animal Trainer, a dynamic duo which grew up on a diet of the world’s very best electronic music artists in their hometown, Zurich. Driven by passion for the music and an insatiable appetite for the party, Adrian and Samy have become two of the hottest properties on the international circuit and represent the epitome of what Switzerland’s new generation of artists has to offer.

Raised in a city with arguably the strongest club scene in Switzerland, Animal Trainer made their name through a series of parties called ‘Rakete’, which still take place at the infamous Hive club. The duo had already spent some time refining their skills as DJs before launching the event, but their sterling reputation was cemented at the club. It was only a matter of time before the ambitious duo pushed things a step further by injecting their love and passion into creating their own music.

In 2008 Animal Trainer dropped their first release, ‘Talkshow’, which was followed by releases with some of the industry’s most influential labels; Defected, Poker Flat, mobilee, Einmusika, Katermukke and their own highly-regarded Hive Audio label among them. More recently they released ‘Aeron’ on the influential Canadian label My Favorite Robot and have an abundance of material pencilled in for release, including original material and remixes for Freude Am Tamzen, You Are We and Mona Berry.

2013 saw the release of Adrian and Samy’s debut full-length album, titled ‘Wide’. Spread across 13 tracks, the LP demonstrated their maturity as artists, focusing on the dance floor, but also incorporating down-tempo cuts and collaborations with vocalists such as Jan Blomqvist and Jimi Jules. It was a resounding success, with widespread praise and leading publications such as Groove Magazine and Data Transmission weighing in with glowing reviews.

With each new release Animal Trainer push the boundaries of their sound, introducing subtle nuances, unforgettable hooks, emotive rhythms or enchanting melodies while retaining their own individual groove to keep the dance floor bubbling. It’s not an easy task, but the boys stay focused and lock themselves away in the studio as often as they can in order to maintain the high standard they have already set.
Their increasing popularity has taken them from Zurich, and all over Switzerland, to some of Europe’s most respected club spaces; Watergate (Berlin), Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Studio 80 (Amsterdam) and Lightbox (London) among them. While their worldwide fanbase has also skyrocketed leading to a myriad international appearances and tours including; South America, the United States, Asia, Australia and Mexico, playing at clubs like Warung Beach Club, D-Edge (Brazil), Bar Americas (Guadalajara), Public Works (San Francisco), Revolver (Melbourne), S.A.S.H. (Sydney), Baum (Bogota) and many more.
