Spark The Fire is the pop-rock/punk infused brainchild of Michael Kovarik.  Based out of the DC metropolitan area, Mike teamed up with Ben Coffinberger of Time Tells All to create the "Virginia is for Lovers" EP, which placed the group in the May 2013 issue of Alternative Press magazine, in print and online.  

Mike and Ben have recently joined forces with bassist Alex Ioannidis of Loons to release the EP "Bobcat Tiger Wolf Bear" for their new side project, Pinewood Derby.

Look for new music from Spark The Fire in early 2016.

I stopped performing a while after my Mom passed away, but I realized I was missing it too much, so I tried out for the Voice this season. Didn't make it to the blind auditions this time, but there's always next time. I Will be upgrading my recording process soon, so far I've been using my wife's android and it's not the best quality . I always loved singing alternative rock and southern rock. I am currently working on original music. I will be recording it in the studio soon....I'm just a mailman who loves to sing...
