BIO

“[Her vocals have] an ethereal-to-forceful dynamic” - Montreal Mirror. “Four Stories counts on Sarah’s otherworldly vocals to add melody” - Quebec Pop. “Sarah’s haunting vocals occasionally recall Portishead and Massive Attack” - The Hour. A stunning musical talent, Sarah has been a fixture on Montreal’s music scene for several years. Her foray into music began when she formed the art-rock quartet Icenine. Together, the group wrote, recorded and produced its lauded debut EP at the Hotel2Tango. Recorded in 24 hours to 24-track analog tape, the album ‘Fear to Tread’ was critically acclaimed. The group disbanded shortly after to work on new projects. Sarah continued to hone her keyboard and vocal skills and featured on various artists' recordings, including those of veteran Montreal house DJ Patrick Dream and Toronto rock-rap wunderkind Fritz the Cat, a.k.a. Ryan Somers/Ok Cobra. Sarah also became the lead vocalist and co-songwriter for pop-rock group Four Stories, and worked with legendary producer-engineer Paul Northfield (Hole, Rush, Suicidal Tendencies) on the band's demo. Now, Sarah is near to completing her first solo effort. This result is ephemeral, alternative pop which draws inspiration from Mazzy Star, Air, Feist, and Tori Amos. The tracks are beautifully composed and performed. Definitely one to watch.

Filled with gratitude and a fierce spirit, this lady thrives on the deep basslines and floaty melodies. Music for Luna has always been a mood. An ever evolving, revolving cycle through different phases in life. Luna Deep was born from this. 

She has been selecting tunes for well over a decade, but beyond that - she studied performance art and dance for most of her life. With this - she guides the dance floor through waves of deep frequencies and radiant energy - weaving sound as ceremony. Her sets are an alchemy of melodic bass, soulful rhythm, and emotional depth, inviting listeners into a state of embodied awakening. 

Holding it down in Red Deer, AB with the local Glitter & Glow Festival events, she spreads her wings for Paradise Music Festival, The Womp & Wicked Woods -  bringing a different yet familiar energy to each performance. 

Luna Deep is about the journey: through phases, through genres, through sound.. and as we venture further into the depths, she strategically illuminates the path, moving you both inside and out.
