These projects have been two decades in the making and represent a return to traditional music composition, engaging song-writing, and the pure passion of emotional story-telling. The Idea Of You Cover Art "The Idea Of You" is music inspired by the spirit of Eros and all of its blessings as well as its tribulations. It explores the vicissitudes of romantic love, the delicate seasons and contour of life, and all the lessons learned along the way. Themes of desire, passion, limerence, romantic love, idolatry, jealousy, envy, loss, regret, forgiveness, acknowledgment, appreciation, acceptance, and eventually glimpses of true understanding permeate the work. It attempts to communicate that which so many of us can never quite communicate properly with words. It is an open apology for the clumsy mistakes we all make when coming to maturity in learning how to care selflessly for another human being. It is a gentle reminder as to what is most important in life, as well as an invocation to continuously seek self-improvement regarding our understanding of such matters.

Australian Music Prize-nominated composer Luke Howard has been described as “absolutely heavenly” (Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC Radio 6) and his music as “an ambient masterclass” (Musos’ Guide), but no words can fully capture the potency of Howard’s enthralling compositions. A pianist since childhood, Howard has scored films and performed with artists as diverse as Lior and Jeff Mills, capturing audiences with contemporary classical arrangements that curl and twist around the boundaries of a particular emotion. Though wordless, Howard’s songs perform a function unique to music as a medium – that of evoking without describing, bringing listeners to a feeling which defies articulating. 

Now signed to UK label Mercury KX (Lambert, Olafur Arnalds, Solomon Grey) and joined live by drummer and collaborator Daniel Farrugia, 2017 has Howard working across several projects: arranging the keyboard works of photographer William Eggleston, a pioneer of colour photography; a European tour beginning in the UK and ending with a performance at Germany’s legendary Elbphilharmonie; and a new record. 

Howard is one of Australia’s foremost practitioners of contemporary classical music. Having already accomplished so much and with more on the horizon, he is set to captivate audiences worldwide.

Celebrating Record Store Day and given the occasion of Sólfar EP’s 1st anniversary, Manos Milonakis invites friends, composers and producers to rethink-reimagine its’ 5 tracks. Sólfar EP was Manos’s second solo release, after Your Hand in Mine, which he recorded in Iceland with contribution of local musicians.

The 5 pieces of Sólfar EP have been reworked by:
Steve Gibbs, Fragile Balloon, Luke Howard, Hior Chronik, Ed Carlsen.

Zasypiałam i dręczyło mnie pytanie
nie rozumiem dlaczego jesteś? 
Nie wydaje Ci się to podejrzane, że istnieje doskonałość?
Myślę tu o skrzypie polnym 
skonstruowanym zbyt idealnie
wystarczy go zmierzyć 
odległości proporcje obwody 
by zaniemówić z zachwytu 
Nie wydaje Ci się to podejrzane, że na równych prawach istnieje niedoskonałość?
Myślę o przejściu w zaświaty skonstruowanym zbyt topornie
Zamglonym, ukrytym, wiecznie niedostępnym

Moja podróż w czasie odbywa się raz na 10 sekund. I tak już od dawna. 
W pulsie tak miarowym jak metronom perpetum mobile. I na nic ociąganie się błaganie na nic rozpacz i odkładanie że może później. 
Że nie mam paszportu. 
Bo i tak w 10 sekundzie jestem spakowana do podręcznej  molekuły i podążam w nieznane. 
I na nic podział na jakieś dni miesiące minuty. 
Wiec od swojego życia muszę odjąć 1 sekundę z dziesięciu. 
Bedzie krótsze od normalnego. 
Ale wieczność dłuższa? 
To niesprawiedliwe. 
i tak byłaby wystarczająco nieskończona. 

Każdy pianista wie
Że koncerty fortepianowe Chopina to najpiękniejsze utwory na świecie.
A gdyby tak móc zagrać 3 koncert fortepianowy Chopina?
Na przykład w a moll albo c – moll, 
Usiąść przy fortepianie w białej przestrzeni
Poczuć pustkę krystalicznie przewodząca dźwięk
I zagrać….
A Orkiestra? 

Tak, grała niebiańska orkiestra
I stał cudowny fortepian przy którym siedział Chopin
Zagraj, tutaj nie mogę już grać
Przecież ja też jestem tutaj
Tak tylko na chwilę
więc zapamiętasz 
i nagle okazało się że gram  
niewysłowioną tęsknotę
niewyobrażalną, głęboką, daleką i wieczną
a  brzmiało tak
dla ciebie 
bo wszystko o czym marzę
nie istnieje
a wszystkie wersety hymnu o miłości
są prawdziwe
