Settling into the Al Daly sound with the projects first track, (coincidently-ish) named 'First', the washed pads pull you into a dream-state, until its time for business & you hear the warping of the bass behind an ineligible vocal loop to get you tensed up.

The drop has all the right components, from warping bass, enormous bounce and a cheeky Kathy Brown vocal loop chopped up; an iconic combination that injects that garage shuffle into the dance.

Gadigal Land/Sydney-based Cotto is an increasingly heard name in the UKG circles in which he runs. His work has found a home on a series of prestigious labels not only at home but abroad, including Shelter, Extra Spicy, and now, ec2a.

‘Been A Long Time’ is his latest EP, only the latest in a string of big Australian releases falling under the Bristol-based label.

"Going back to my speed garage roots here with some reese-driven, dark, old school speed garage,” Cotto shared in a quote with Mixmag ANZ.

‘Wasted (30,000ft Mix)’ is a bouncy, UKG roller with loads of potential for any dance floor. Its bright, jumping keys and vocal samples no doubt set to soundtrack many a sunny afternoon back in Bristol. 

‘Been A Long Time’ releases via ec2a tomorrow, Friday, June 20.
