When Matt Hopper co-wrote a long distance song with Chad Reynvaan during the Covid-19 pandemic, it sparked a creative partnership that saw ten new songs being born over the course of the next several years. Relocating to Alaska, Hopper and Reynvaan would get together to jam and as long as nobody was coughing, an album was slowly born at Reynvaan's Wattage Studios. Almost all of these songs were made up in jam sessions, Hopper taking the rough mix down, writing lyrics and going back to the studio to lay down vocals, while Reynvaan added whatever he felt like. The two played both guitar, bass, piano, synth and Hopper smartly left the drumming up to the capable hands of Reynvaan. They had a few guests through such as Christian Woods and Scott Little on some bass, Steven Cornfield on Rhodes piano, some long distance sax love from Grant Zubritsky, who piped over loads of sax that he would record himself at his home studio in between touring stints. Kullen Fuchs makes an appearance on trumpet. Jason Searle adds some vocals and guitar to "Darlin". Nathan Keezer added some bongos. One track was rescued from a Richard Swift session at his National Freedom Studios. Overall, the 37 minute rock album is upbeat, fun and creative..
