Extinction Of The Fittest

My nephew wrote a little tune and asked me to work out the notes for him and write it out as a piece of music. 
I decided to add some bits to it and record this instead. 
I'm not faffing about with sheet music at this time of year. No way.

Cactus Song

The first of two cover versions I've been working on to round off 2023.
I love this song and wanted to put a version together using various synths, some modular bits and some guitar going through a ton of effects pedals.

Johnny & Mary (Robert Palmer cover)

The second of the two covers I wanted to do to round off 2023.
The original version of this song came out this spring on the latest Sparks album "The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte". I found the album very thought-provoking and this song in particular really resonated with me.
I saw Sparks perform this track at the Royal Albert Hall back in May and it was quite an emotional moment.
It has really been one of my favourite tracks of the year and I found I really connected with it, so I needed to do this version partly as a tribute and partly to get it out of my system haha.
Normal service should resume in 2024 with some brand new Mr Ad material, hopefully see you then!

It Doesn't Have to Be That Way (Sparks cover)

The vibe of this track was to be a little punky with a close resemblance to the Arctic Monkeys. Recorded, produced, mixed and mastered here by us!!
