During the past few months of the Pandemic chronicles, we rekindled our love for Germany. Both of us were born there, but we haven't lived there for over two decades. 

We witnessed the death of techno caused by mainstream capitalists around the millenium. Engaging with the artists, we were stunned by how well the scene has recovered since. It also showed us how diverse techno has become and that audio quality, access to a diverse library, or distribution are no longer obstacles for music producers.

We aim to investigate what defines underground techno in Germany and interview artists about their views on it. We will be publishing the interviews in German and English, allowing a broader audience to dive into this subculture. We will also ask each artist to record a set for our SoundCloud channel and release both every Wednesday.

KILL YOUR IDOLS is a project of Dan Breeze, the projects background is based on been original and not following or copying your IDOLS sound, KILL YOUR IDOLS and be original.

Dan djs and produces hard techno ranging from Rave to Industrial styles from 138 to 160bpm. He plays what he wants! Recently dropping EPs Expel Your Demons Records, Flesh and Hammers along with remixes for Vanya koreya, Karl Schwarz and Rebekah which is due out for release in June, Dan has been really busy with new EPs that are to drop in the coming months.

Recently Echelon Bookings signed KILL YOUR IDOLS to manage event bookings so watch this space.

We first took note of FRAG 451 after discovering his track with Vendex – Tartarus Gates. We went through his sets and thought, holy fuck, we gotta ask him for a collaboration. We enjoyed the interaction and realised we have numerous shared interests like the passion for gaming, hard techno, and immense love for Adidas Boost.
