Born & raised on the west coast playing strings, percussion & keys, The Illusion of Duality honed his craft on the decks far before electronic music was popular in the early 2000’s. With the use of frequency embedded in a universe of rhythm he navigates between the Darkness & the Light to bridge the gap between electronic and organic. On the dance floor, his worldly sound will guide you on an ever evolving adventure of downtempo bass, medicine house and pure vibes sure to lead you “home”. Locally and organically raised on the west coast by a pair of musicians, Chamberlin has a deep-rooted passion and enthusiasm for music. Stemming from his backgrounds in strings, percussion and keys, this musician naturally branched out towards DJing in the 1990’s and has been nurturing his talents ever since.  Chamberlin is constantly embarked on a never-ending search for the newest songs and genres to keep his dance-floors fresh. Additionally, DJ Chamberlin cultivates original tracks, re-edits and mash-ups to produce for his listeners a unique and personal experience. Having residencies and bookings spanning the country, this innovative Producer/DJ has the prowess and professionalism that ensure a high-quality product every time he takes the stage. Chamberlin truly is a rare and natural talent who takes pride and sincerity in his trade, and is eager to share his abilities with dance-floors everywhere.

I've been a DJ for a while. I kind of like it.

🎹 Electro-Folk, Deep House, Tropical & Chill. 

Behind the stage name “Karlk” hides Charles Perrono. Born in Lorient in the West of France. Mixing world music influences with electronic styles ranging from Electro Chill to Deep House, Karlk found early success releasing music online. His breakout hit “What I Want,” created with the DJ duo Ofenbach, earned him million streams and charted internationally. The track was later featured in a Google advertising campaign or even playlisted on the International Space Station, further elevating Karlk's profile.

A self-taught composer and producer, Karlk was introduced to music at the age of seven. Turning his back on “too academic” music theory lessons, he taught himself to play several instruments, including guitar, drums and piano.

Multi-instrumentalist, he began to compose on Ableton Live, pieces mixing world and electronic music, from Chill to Electro Pop, via Deep House. He enjoyed dazzling success on the web and reached million streams, which made it possible to sign on labels such as Universal Music, PIAS or Times Records. He performs in important festivals in Europe such as Lakedance or Transmusicales.

In 2017, he released his debut album, Crossroads, which included two global hits: “Daydreamer” and “Jeff.” Though Karlk has begun composing for film, TV, and video games in recent years, he is preparing to release his second album “Silent Echoes” in 2024.   

Throughout his career, Karlk has fused diverse musical influences with modern production techniques to create an eclectic but cohesive discography. His self-taught approach and persistent experimentation have paved the way for his evolution from bedroom producer to international star.
