The Stuttgart-based party thrower, disc jockey and Kitjen head honcho has been an avid contributor to the international circuit for a number of years. Recorded during his latest DJ gig at Zur Klappe, the mix on display today is an extract of his 3 hours opening set. Expect mid-tempo, percussive-driven rhythmics, dreamy house grooves and a couple unexpected curveball moments.

”Recorded on a hot, hazy afternoon in London. My flat backs out onto the canal and this was pieced together during a hangover. I think that probably adds to the context behind the mix. 

It’s a collection of left-leaning electronics, dub and various skits designed to reflect the wild shouts and intermittent chatter of those passing on board canal boats, enjoying the sun. It’s a little rough and ready in places but I think that probably reflects the wider world, a dusty sun-beaten London in the midst of a summer pandemic.”

Its lockdown 3, we're all a bit weary so what better tonic than a fresh edition of the Reframe. This month we support another of Leeds many up and coming talents with Mezla joining The Reframe with a guest mix for the last hour of the show.

DJ, resident and curator for the established club night Limit and @lwr-music (Limit x Revamp x WTS).  Event manager, booking agent & Resident @distriktbarleedsevent. Mezla has a nice versatility to his repertoire with sets weaving between different realms of house & techno, breaks, acid, leftfield, disco, italo through to slow chugging trippy sonics. His mix for the reframe falls in that latter chug slo mo frame. 

This month the Reframe kicks off the show with ventures into deep electronics with a slow building collection setting out at 90bpm and moving up into mid tempo 19 bpm territories.
