Chambres - Chase Me Too (Tennis Champ Remix)

I'm so stoked to be putting this song out. A little backstory; I've been feening to do a Lorde remix for years, since the stems for most of Pure Heroine were made available - but I was never quite able to make it work. It was a fantastic album that was rife to flesh out instrumentally with remixes, but nothing I threw at the wall really came back good enough for me. I was very excited for whatever she did next and was captivated by her performance of this track at Coachella before Melodrama came out, and couldn't wait to hear the final product.

It ended up being my favourite on her new album, and as luck would have it Triple J Unearthed in Australia opened a competition to remix it last month, so I jumped at the chance to give it another go. Maybe it was the relentless plays on the original or just a stroke of luck, but I managed to craft an instrumental I really like for this remix. It stays pretty true to the structure of the song because I love the movement of the verses to the chorus, but I feel like I've dashed enough of my creative streak through it.

The first single from Soon As I See You Again, 'Demons' was written in collaboration with Sacramento rapper Bernard Willis and breaks new ground for Chambres.

The track is a cross-continental Hip Hop/Electronic jam, packed with retro synths that bend & squeeze like glossy plastic, 80's Slasher film samples and distorted, wailing vocal FX - all sewn together by the lyrics and energy of Bernard Willis, vocalising exuberantly on dealing with his inner demons.

It's equal parts bright and fanciful as it is easy to ruminate on, and I'm very pleased to be putting out something new that I'm proud to dance to.

Over a year in the making, 'Ophelia' suits the time taken to get it to a final state, dwelling on calm-mindedness and appreciating what happens in our busy lives instead of falling prey to "the slings & arrows of fortune".

I hope you enjoy this brand new, remixed and mastered version which should be much kinder on the ears and gives the song the sonic palette it needs to really shine.

A tour-de-force of pumping electropop, Arbuz ("watermelon" in Polish) is probably the best song I’ve ever put together. It's also no coincidence that it’s the most collaborative song I’ve ever worked on, and I want to make special mention to all the unbelievable friends and musicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with on this track;

My extreme gratitude to Abigail for the beautiful, ethereal vocal hook, Saskia for the monster of a bassline, and of course my incredible partner Cristalle for the eternal inspiration - as well as the various vocal samples scattered throughout! Also Lucy, Zach, Max, Chris, the list of thanks goes on. Basically; everyone rules, this song rules, have a rad day - and if you feel like it give it a listen!
