FAUX’S NOTES: An odd couple for sure… not literally. Heartbreak is shared between them, though with two very different definitions. The Black Knight is stoic and stern, aligning himself with Cadence while rarely stepping outside his current wheelhouse. Cadence is much more free-spirited, not above poking at others to get the answers she’s seeking. Being able to lift her curse when she got here was a pleasure- she’d have been miserable with it. This combination of stalwart defense and fast, precise strikes may not have been many’s fancy, but it’s exactly what we needed. Thank you for voting Saints of Shovelry.

**015: Saints of Shovelry**

Steel thy shovel and brace yourself, because the Saints of Shovelry are ready to strike! Cadence, the one cursed by the Necrodancer and the one who trekked through his crypt in search of her father, has teamed up with the enigmatic and fierce Black Knight to dig through the Great Lilac! These two different spade-wielding individuals seem to have struck a deal, putting their differences aside to take the tourney by storm. Will these two be able to beat the odds and tune out their competition? Sounds like a plan!

Being that these two share shovels and have relationships to...well, “broken hearts,” both of them have become fast allies, whether they initially planned to or not. The Black Knight’s stalwart nature has been countered by the determined yet open Cadence, forcing the two to bounce off of one another. With a plethora of indie game jams and music fit for a knight, there’s no way they can lose!

**001: The Doomstalkers**

In two worlds full of demons and otherworldly horrors, two hunters handle the threat very differently. B.B. Hood hunts the titular Darkstalkers for financial gain and sport, whereas the Doom Slayer bathes Hell itself in the blood of demons who had brought upon the very end of humanity. These two have almost nothing in common out of their hatred for all things satanic...which makes their pairing even odder.

FAUX saw an opportunity for these two to get along rather well despite their clashing moral beliefs. Should they win, B.B. Hood gets to eradicate any Darkstalker in her path whereas the Doom Slayer will be forever invincible, all demonic forces falling to his feet. As of right now, however...well, let's say their friendship still has to find its footing. With Bonnie's cunning and craftiness alongside the Slayer's determination and muscle, can these two claim their bounty?

I thought for a moment that I was finally free... ending up in Hyrule seemed like a blessing. I met new friends and revisited old ones, but even there I encountered new enemies too. My life went on, still trying to escape this rhythm holding me hostage. Then, all of a sudden, it looked like another opportunity presented itself. Some kind of tournament? In two worlds full of demons and otherworldly horrors, two hunters handle the threat very differently. B.B. Hood hunts the titular Darkstalkers for financial gain and sport, whereas the Doom Slayer bathes Hell itself in the blood of demons who had brought upon the very end of humanity. These two have almost nothing in common out of their hatred for all things satanic...which makes their pairing even odder.

FAUX saw an opportunity for these two to get along rather well despite their clashing moral beliefs. Should they win, B.B. Hood gets to eradicate any Darkstalker in her path whereas the Doom Slayer will be forever invincible, all demonic forces falling to his feet. As of right now, however...well, let's say their friendship still has to find its footing. With Bonnie's cunning and craftiness alongside the Slayer's determination and muscle, can these two claim their bounty?

**015: Saints of Shovelry**

Steel thy shovel and brace yourself, because the Saints of Shovelry are ready to strike! Cadence, the one cursed by the Necrodancer and the one who trekked through his crypt in search of her father, has teamed up with the enigmatic and fierce Black Knight to dig through the Great Lilac! These two different spade-wielding individuals seem to have struck a deal, putting their differences aside to take the tourney by storm. Will these two be able to beat the odds and tune out their competition? Sounds like a plan!

Being that these two share shovels and have relationships to...well, “broken hearts,” both of them have become fast allies, whether they initially planned to or not. The Black Knight’s stalwart nature has been countered by the determined yet open Cadence, forcing the two to bounce off of one another. With a plethora of indie game jams and music fit for a knight, there’s no way they can lose!
