Christmas has come early! As a December special, we are pleased to present you the first of two mixes this month from two incredibly talented artists. 

First up, HADŌ delivers a driving yet hypnotic and groovy listening experience featuring tracks from some of our favourite artists. It’s exactly what we love to hear and we hope you feel the same! The diverse track selection, smooth transitions and overall energy really makes this a special mix worth listening to. 

HADŌ is an Italian born, London based DJ/producer whose musical journey began around the age of ten with Latin American guitar and saw him experiment with a number of different genres and instruments before being drawn towards electronic music, as he got closer to the underground clubbing scene in London. His sets are an exploration of the primal and instinctive human connection with rhythm through a blend of intricate percussive soundscapes and nostalgic yet forward-thinking harmonies. 

As a relatively new face in the techno game, HADŌ’s productions have recently started to gain traction from big names such as Slam, Arnaud Le Texier, and Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann amongst others. The AK1 project was born from a need to express pure techno without compromise. His sound is built on hypnotic textures, driving rhythms, and an immersive energy that flows through every set. With a sharp sense of selection and inventive mixing, AK1 creates a world where intensity and depth collide.

BCCO Mix Series 671: AK1

Sometimes you just want to play everything that has shaped you without a strict concept, without genre boundaries, purely out of love and fun. That’s exactly how this set came to life. ✨

Five hours that show a different side of me: less strictly hypnotic, more housy, deep, oldschool, dreamy. A journey that floats somewhere between dancefloor energy and living-room vibe full of tracks that have been with me for a long time, and others that just slipped in naturally while playing.

I wanted to build a bridge between my deep, hypnotic sound and those housy, disco inspired grooves that always get me. A mix of immersive flow and uplifting, funky moments that move both mind and body.
And while so much of the scene is running towards faster and faster BPMs, I’ve been enjoying slowing things down a little. This whole trip sits around 128–130 BPM steady, groovy, giving space for the music to breathe and for the vibe to unfold.

For me, it was pure joy to just press record and let it flow, without overthinking where it “should” go. 

The result: a 5-hour ride through my musical love, playful and honest.
Take your time, dive in, let it carry you and enjoy it as much as I did recording it. ❤️

For the 15th edition of our podcast series, we’re buzzing to welcome Georg for his first appearance. Emerging from Malta’s underground scene, he’s built a versatile sound that fuses different shades of electronic music, always carried by a signature groove made for dark rooms and long, immersive sessions.

You might remember him from our first VA Dance to Freedom, where he delivered the raw and  driving “Swirl.” Now he’s back with a mix that brings the same energy straight into our podcast series.
