What is originality in music anymore? It's something I've struggled with as a producer and DJ for much of the past 10 years. As a producer I've pretty much given up on sounding original, but as a DJ I've always tried to find music that sounds original or at least attempts to do so. When it comes to dance floor music I've found it nearly impossible to find music that truly has an original sound to it, but I've been finding all sorts of abstract and eclectic Electronica and random tracks here and there that to me really feel like they're doing something different or going Against The Grain if you will....

When two of the worlds best electronica/downtempo producers and DJs, Bluetech and Dj Maggie respectively asked me to create a set for their streaming show Holotropic Happy Hour I knew this was the perfect opportunity to finally put together a set of these tracks! I hope you enjoy the journey!

Over The Moon presents BLUETECH with his "26 Bones" titled mix in this episode. Bluetech is a classically trained musician who has been releasing electronic music since 2003 and has over 30 releases to his name. He has toured internationally, shared stages with some of the biggest names in electronic music, scored video games, won awards for his short film scores, and continues to invest in and build community around electronic music. After his two self-released albums charted on Billboard in 2019 (at #10 and #5), he decided to expand his label to include other artists, and since then, Behind The Sky has become a well-respected purveyor of analog and modular synth music.  The concept behind this mix was to explore downtempo, deep house, and balearic mutant house vibes. In my sets, I aim to keep it dreamy yet still danceable, not afraid to get a little sultry and steamy as the story evolves. The mix evolves from bright and cheery to deep and tribal over 26 tracks. In a human foot, there are 26 bones, the structural support of a proper wiggle.
