This song is about children in the world today who are taken and forced to use weapons to kill from an early age. 

In the lyrics, i'm describing the bitter memories of a former child who has come out of this situation - much like a war poem. The eeriness of the start, then the jumpiness of the 2nd verse, all of it was done to achieve a purpose in telling the story and raising awareness.
