Ben is a jazz vocalist, music lifer, & explorer of the tendencies of transformation through sound. With a voice described as "liquid sex" (kinda gross but it really happened) & a "modern Mel Tormé," Ben was recently awarded third place in the 2015 Cabaret Showcase Male Crooner category at Martuni's in San Francisco. 

Ben is currently looking for a piano accompanist and a jazz band to play standards with. Please contact if you have any leads for musicians who play standards. Also the principal writer/vocalist/manager of the Oakland synthpop group Introflirt (http://introflirt.bandcamp.com). 

Benjamin Ruppert has been singing since age 3, playing piano since age 4, and composing since age 5. In addition to writing and performing all of his material, he arranges and produces it.
