Here is a live recording from my Headline set w/ Bio Bass Buds! I haven't uploaded a set in a minute  - but I figured this would be a fun one to share! 

Around this time last year, I played at this venue for the first time as the opener and also played for Bio Bass Buds as an opener last fall, so being invited back as a headliner was a full circle for me! 

I had  a blast with my selections within various genres - experimental bass, trap, hip hop, dnb, UKG, deep dub and more - and I hope you all enjoy this set as much as I did playing it!

Chvnny Mvy (pronounced Channy May) is a Denver-based DJ with a deep love for genre-blending and intentional energy. Originally born in Key West and raised in Jacksonville, FL, she has called Denver home since April 2021.

She first started learning to DJ in 2020 during COVID, curating mixes as a personal passion project. At the time, it was just for fun. But by Fall 2023, she made the leap to start performing live…and hasn’t looked back since.

Since stepping onto the scene, she has won several DJ competitions and played a wide range of venues and events, including The Black Box, Larimer Lounge, River Bar, Bounce Empire, Blind Tiger Lounge & more! She has also brought her sound to warehouse parties, art markets, skate and flow jams, and even art museums, showing off her versatility and love for diverse creative spaces.

She’s an active member of three Denver-based collectives: Headstash Music Collective, Matriarch Music Collective, and Java Jams which all align with her values of inclusion, creativity, and providing safe spaces where people can show up as their authentic selves.

Musically, Chvnny Mvy blends experimental bass, trap, drum & bass, techno, house, and touches of hip hop and pop; all delivered with silky-smooth transitions and bold, intentional curation. She’s all about building bridges between sounds, creating a dynamic listening experience that brings people together on and off the dance floor.
