Monte Ray (born May, 26th, 1991 in Lexington, North Carolina) is a phenomenal American R&B singer/songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, and graphic artist. Founder of the media company StarPower Entertainment (along with co-founder Shar Thomas) Monte Ray has produced singles for a number of unsigned and independent artists in genres such as R&B, Hip-hop, and Rap. From 2005–2008, he had his most singer success on the social network Myspace with his hit promo single “Like You”. The years 2008-2010 he continued only to make singles that were always hits every time he put one out such as “High and Drunk”. Monte Ray’s debut EP, The Freshman Volume 1 (2011), features the songs "Break U Off," "Earthquake," and "Deep Sea Diving". He then went on to drop another promo EP the same year that was entitled The Laptop Muzik Project (2011) which included the songs “The One”, “Majestic”, and “Light It Up”. Monte Ray has yet to drop an official album but has continued to prove himself as one of the most talented and incredible artists in the art of R&B.
