Hailing from Dhaka, Bangladesh Baba Mac is a  Canadian Dj and Producer who has made a name for himself in the past 6 years, in the local Vancouver underground scene.  He has had a sheer interest and inclination towards music since a very young age. He used to spend most of his time listening to Rock music, which later converted into an immense interest in House & Techno music. He realized during the initial stages of his music career that House & Techno were the genres that he truly resonated with. With his prior experience playing guitars and drums, he developed a special ear for melodic techno, and has since been consistently moving towards bumpy and groovy techno.
With such in-depth love for techno, Baba Mac got his first break in Vancouver in 2017, when he played his first show with Beatginings a local organizer. This break led to further successful performances at numerous events with MIA Nightclub, including “Deep Down Inside” and “Blue Print Events”. Crowds and promoters were starting to recognize him as the “mood setter” of shows. These frequent appearances resulted in Baba Mac becoming a permanent name for Social Sound Vancouver House and Techno events.
Baba Mac has also played as support, performing alongside popular international DJs and producers, such as Justin Jay, Will Clarke and No Mana. In 2020, he launched “Terrace Tuesdays” during the COVID-19 outbreak, whereby he invited more than 40 Vancouver-based House DJs from time to time. The idea was to stream live every Tuesday for 4 – 5 hours on YouTube and Twitch. The “Terrace Tuesdays” resulted in Baba Mac receiving massive love and support from the community.
Most recently, Baba Mac has been seen playing regularly at various nightclubs in Vancouver, including Levels XS and Levels for Social Sound. He also actively supports Underground Scene and has been spotted at several underground and warehouse parties.
Baba Mac is extremely dedicated to House & Techno, and has never changed his music genre. His inspiration comes from certain DJs and music producers, such as Maceo Plex, Boris Brejcha, Carl Cox, Solomun, and Tale of Us. 
Baba Mac has released a number of tracks this year while signing 3 tracks with 2 different record labels. His success came through as he signed his tracks “Mendesian” and “Scale of Techno” with UK record label Crossworlder Music during summer. In fall he released his last track “Rising” released under the local Vancouver record label “RF Label” which was supported by the legendary Chicago Dj and producer Gene Farris. 
Baba Mac plans on releasing 2 more tracks at the end of year to finish 2022 on a high note.
