Our next Chapter brings Berlin-based Daniele Di Martino to the fore with a typically robust and direct offering in the form of the Transformer EP.

The MONO.NOISE label head follows up recent releases on Get Physical, Katermukke and Bar 25 with a set of three heavy hitters that showcase his clinical style and very effectively straddle the more melodic end of the worlds of house and techno.

Title track 'Transformer' delivers chunky beats, afro swagger and hooky call and response synths that make for a memorable and lasting impression and beg repeat plays. Meanwhile 'Something' follows this up with a crescendo of eerie top lines and unsettling atmospheres that give way to a pulsing, undulating techno groove. Both tracks are a masterclass in the use of dancefloor tension.

The package is rounded off by a collaboration with fellow Berliner Robin Schellenberg. 'Gerudi' has a slightly techier flavour anchored around a repeating synth, all set off by a devastating squelchy bass and a soaring break.

These powerful stories in sound are bound to be recounted again and again this summer.

A bit sad message here, still things happen to end and start again and that's all about life circles. So here is the last EP of our talent FREE.D who is developing now to someone bigger and genre breaking musician already having released the new album as Ka Fu with pretty much attention from the wider audience. Anyway, FREE.D was crafting his skills almost 4 years with us and this EP is a certain point of genuinely done quality sound: super dense and danceable with accurate mind scratching details and some huge deepness after breakdowns. Definitely super strong point in FREE.D bio and this is the end and the beginning of something more powerful at the same time. We are sad and happy wishing FREE.D a wonderful journey. Being also a part of creative team FREE.D is also co-producing other Hidden Vibes musicians and will concentrate more on that part of label work so that you would possibly hear his touch very soon. 2k20. What a year so far. We, the crew at the Hive Audio label offices, are pretty much certain that absolutely nothing rolled out as planned for anyone around the globe this year and that there hasn't been much time or opportunity for celebration for anyone out there in the electronic music community or beyond either – even though we had different things in mind, especially in regards of our 10 years anniversary as a label which we already heralded with the quadruple EP series „The First Ten Years“ rolled out equally through Hive Audio and its recently launched offspring Hive Audio Dark earlier this year.

But as they say, routines are helpful to cope with difficult circumstances and therefore we're back and well proud to present you with this years summer compilation „Summer Slices 2020“, a massive 13 track overview of the recent state of the art in quality electronic club music and a glaring sign that creativity and productivity in our scene are still going strong.
