Mit seiner aktuellen EP „Sektdusche“ schließt der Berliner Produzent ACUD an sein „Verbrennungsmotor“-Release aus dem Jahr Jahr 2018 an. Erneut veröffentlicht er auf dem von ihm geführten Label „KELLER“. Im Titeltrack singt ACUD wie gewohnt wenige Zeilen, die mit Heiterkeit zur Ekstase treiben. So lebt auch der zweite Track „Bisaltez“ von einer enormen Energie bei erneut langsamen Tempo. ACUD’s „Sektdusche“ ist eine Ep, die nach vorne geht und weniger anschmiegsam sein möchte. Ergänzt werden die Originale mit zwei Remixes von MAX JONES und UNDO.

The Berlin producer ACUD follows up on its 2018 release of “Verbrennungsmotor” with its current EP “Sektdusche”. He is releasing again on the "KELLER" label he runs. As usual, ACUD sings a few lines that cheerfully drive the revelers to ecstasy. So the second track "Bisaltez" lives from enormous energy at again a slow tempo. ACUD's "Sektdusche" is an Ep whose songs go directly forward and want to be less cuddly. The originals are supplemented with two remixes by MAX JONES and UNDO.

Our latest Telling Tales mix comes from Athenian artist Thodoris Triantafillou, whose brand new 'Species EP' has just landed: smarturl.it/CH033

Hailing from the Greek capital, Thodoris has excelled in all corners of the electronic music industry after devoting his life and career to a creative output that reflects a fusion of influences from across the musical sphere. He makes music without sticking to one sound, enjoying the culture of clubbing and coming from an eclectic background of spinning hip-hop, soul, funk, RnB and breaks, as reflected in his mix.

Thodoris believes that "the quality, character, and distribution of the ensemble is what makes the difference and not the kind of music we play". With this concept in mind, he aims to create an atmosphere to entertain a crowd, wherever they are found. Keeping up with the unrelenting yet satisfying pace of musical evolution, Thodoris also looks to the horizon, feeling as inspired by the beautiful scene as he was on day one.

Recognised by peers and fans through a stream of compelling releases on labels such as Connaisseur and Objektivity, it’s the combination of the philosophy behind a record, the raw energy offered by electronic formats, and an exploration of the inner self that makes Thodoris’s sound stand out amongst the rest. 

Telling Tales is a series of podcasts giving one of the Chapter 24 family, one of our remixers, or one of our headliners an opportunity to deliver to us a story in sound. The idea is for the podcast to tell a tale; to take the listener in surprising directions from one emotion to the other; to end up somewhere unforeseen, somewhere new. These mixes are sure to separate the signal from the noise.

The soul-heart is, by far, the most present and invariable psychic entity of Mesoamerica. Among the characteristics that are most frequently associated with it are memory, vitality, thought, will, character, moral behavior, courage, fate, affectivity, knowledge and, to a lesser extent, sexuality. 

It is common to assume that this entity can leave the body in various circumstances without necessarily involving death: 1. It is said that leaves the body during sleep to roam freely during the night; the memory of their experiences is the content of dream processes; 2. It leaves the body during intoxication and intercourse, being the diverse sensation of one's being a consequence of the psychic absence; 3. It can also be detached because of a fall or a strong impression, or be stolen by witches and supernatural entities; occurring in such cases the pathology called scare. Finally, we can see that in a fairly large number of cases it is this entity that is supposed to go to the world of the dead after the body passes away.

In aztec mythology, Tepeme Monamictlán is the second of nine levels of the underworld Mictlán, and it's residence of Tepeyóllotl (god of mountains, echoes and jaguars); this is the place where two mountains crash, producing enormous echoes as signs for the dead to cross to the next level.

Low Manuel is a real music lover born in Italy in the 90’s.  His music vision is the expression of his character, introspective, dark and sophisticated.
His style is a mixture of indie electronic but also Techno and his compositions transmit emotions, influenced by the Stars and the Marine World. The 'Scourge Ep' explores new musical shades, hinting at moments of new wave through a lens of psychedelia.
The title track is a trip with an incredibly catchy rhythmic pattern and a strong bassline, while 'The Room’ has a ravey hypnotic and powerful touch.
The Italian duo Margot remix ’The Scourge’ delivering a strong version with their typical synth-driven kraut-techno style adding insane beats, fizzing synths and peaking chords for optimal dancefloor effect. While Nhar gives us his unique and introspective reinterpretation giving the track a mesmerizing deep electronic vibe, taking us to a journey between the bright and dark sides.

Having previously featured on Eskimo Recordings' 2018 compilation 'The Purple Collection’ as one half of Languages, Franz Matthews returns to the label alongside fellow Berliners Local Suicide with 'Meditation / Tutan Jamon', 2 tracks of heady disco that join the dots between the German capital and the sun soaked souks of North Africa.

Despite living on the same street for 4 years Franz Matthews and Brax Moody and Vamparela from Local Suicide only met recently through their common friend Sam Berdah (Days of Being Wild, Club Bizarre). Making up for lost time, the trio soon found themselves bonding in the studio, digging into their love of both the esoteric and travelling, and together channelled those passions into 2 spiritually infused numbers.
 
'Meditation'was the first result of this inspired partnership, appropriately recorded at the same time that Matthews was also recording music for a meditation app, and features a freeform stream of consciousness from Vamparela over a suitably hypnotic backing of wistful guitars and breezy rhythms. 'Tutan Jamon' meanwhile shares its DNA with recent Eskimo releases by the likes of Simple Symmetry and SHMLSS, the track built around a couple of very Egyptian influenced riffs and comes in two distinct versions.
 
Between his production studio MOWD, his duo Languages, and his solo electronic project, Franz Matthews keeps himself busy. Making Berlin his hometown for the past 5 years, the Franco-German producer and DJ has always kept one hand in the Indie Dance world, while the other wanders in more Psychedelic Pop realms, a winning combination that's seen him release music on imprints such as Eskimo Recordings, Days of Being Wild, Rockets & Ponies.
 
Local Suicide, aka DJs and producers Brax Moody and Vamparela, meanwhile have made a name for themselves putting on some of the most infamous underground parties Berlin has to offer, running their acclaimed blog and still finding time to make waves with their productions, a wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno and post-disco that has seen them work with the likes of Rodion, Mijo and Curses in recent years.

The fresh remixes keep on coming from Get Physical, this time with a new take on a single by Stereo.type feat. Felix Raphael that was originally released on the imprint's latest Words Don’t Come Easy compilation. Vital versions come from label associates old and new including Ryan Murgatroyd, Bebetta & Cioz and T.M.A..


Bebetta & Cioz have been cooking up the goods together for a while now on labels like Monaberry. Here they lock you in a trance with their spellbinding keys and synths. Softly spoken vocals add to the alluring effect and make this house music as deep as it is sensitive. The excellent original version is a deep yet bumping house cut with melodic bass and curious synths that bring a playful sense of colour. It exudes real human warmth from Felix Raphael’s vocals and is perfectly steamy.


T.M.A is a German duo that mix organic drums and guitars and powerful basslines. Their invigorating remix is a superbly slow burning affair with rumbling synth loops and expansive pads. Forever trapping you in the elongated groove, it’s a tender one for intimate dance floors and late night sessions. Last of all is Get Physical’s core artist Ryan Murgatroyd, who combines the African rhythms of his Cape Town home with super electronic stylings. And that is the case here as he layers in rich xylophone melodies, rasping synths and loose-limbed rhythms that will warm through any floor.


Once again here Get Physical give a deserving standalone release to a hot
single that now comes with a range of on point remixes.
