I Got into the music scene when i was 22 from learning to mix vinyl in my bedroom for many years i got noticed by someone who ran their own nights in walsall. The club was lost lounge in walsall . the night went really well and i slowly started to get noticed by many promotors in the bassline house scene. from 2002 upon to 2007 i played in many clubs around the west midlands. Some of these clubs included :- Moonlounge Birmingham , Hidden Birmingham , The Q Club Birmingham , Bassline Heaven Birmingham , The Lost Lounge Walsall , 53 Degrees Waterfront Dudley , Essence Dudley & Illusion Swancote. 


Over the 5 years of djing i also produced bassline house music. 4 of the tracks got signed to twaron beats and pressed onto vinyl. 1 got pressed by ecko records as part of a remix package & the others unsigned was sent out as free downloads. Now its 2012 the old bassline house days are over and now moving onto my first love of music (jungle / drum n bass) from clubbing for so many years from Hysteria London To Global Gathering Stratford Upon Avon its now time to make an impact on the drum n bass scene.

1989 the Band MC Sar & The Real McCoy was born. Their first singles (Pump up the Jam Rap and Its on you) became hugely successful all over Europe and all went Top 10. 
1993 the next Project was born: Maxx. Maxx combined the Club Sound with Ragga Vibes and became an enormous success in the Club scene. 
The two initial singles Get a Way and No more went Top 10 all over Europe and reached Gold Status.
In 1994 The Band name of MC Sar & The Real McCoy was changed into The Real McCoy and the project got signed to BMG Germany and Arista Records USA. 
The Real McCoy had countless Top 5 Hits in the USA, UK, Japan and Europe and sold more than 8 million records worldwide. 
Their incredible success was honoured by dozens of Platinum and Gold awards, the MTV award, Billboard Award, a Grammy nomination as the most successful foreign Popact in the USA and the German Echo award. 

Furthermore Quickmix was honoured by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) for the Song Another Night, which stayed in the US Billboard Charts for almost one year.

Quickmix also worked as an engineer for the duet of Mariah Carey and Joe and wrote/produced several songs for one of Germanys biggest actresses and singers, Yvonne Catterfeld.

He owns a Soundware Company "Quickmixaudio" and a Record Label "Electricity Records".

The very definition of a legend, Mampi Swift has been involved in the drum & bass scene since the early 90’s. It was in 1990 that Swift started DJing and found himself behind the counter of Lucky Spin records. With access to the studio next door and an in-house engineer, Swift jumped at the valuable opportunity to start learning how to produce. Releases soon started filtering out with labels like Suburban Base, True Playaz, Trouble On Vinyl & Frontline all taking tracks.
 
1997 saw the launch of Charge Recordings, and a slur of releases that saw him rise meteorically to the top of the DnB tree. With the release of ‘The One’, Swift became a household name and he showed no signs of slowing up, following that up with the likes of ‘Hi Tek’, ‘Touch Of J’, ‘Jaws’ and ‘Trippin’. The label went from strength to strength and has since seen releases from Fresh, Friction, Blame, Sigma, Gridlok and more.
 A pioneer of the double drop style of DJing alongside Andy C, his unmistakeable presence behind the decks has formed the back bone of many a line up from the UK to the States and everywhere in between. A true originator he has influenced and shaped the scene like few others.
 
After a couple of years out, Mampi Swift & Charge Recordings are back in the biggest way. With his latest releases gaining support from the likes of Andy C, MistaJam, Friction, Hype, Crissy Criss & Bailey. Tracks such as 'Gangster', 'Soldiers' & 'The Silence' have been destroying dance floors worldwide! Fast forward to Autumn 2013 and surely a career highlight for Swift as his monstrous remix of Dizzee Rascal's 'I Dont Need A Reason' took his profile to another level. The track was featured heavily on both mainstream & underground radio, and was critically acclaimed to be "The most most disgusting slice of D&B in the last 5 years!" - Zane Lowe.

With an international tour commencing in the first half of the year and a brand new studio to work in as well as exciting solo projects and inspiring collaborations lined up.  Expect big things in the future - There is so much more to come including a brand new roster of incredible Charge artists.

“The forward thinking sound of nufunk” 
 I-DJ February 2010  Not many artists can boast knocking Snoop Doggy Dogg off the top of the charts, but that's just one of the noteworthy accomplishments of one Steve Jeffery, aka Pimpsoul. He's also been called "the forward thinking sound of Nufunk" by iDJ magazine and has travelled the world as an ambassador for everything funky and bass-orientated. 

Dogg's humbling took place last year when Pimpsoul's blazing collaboration with the mighty Mooqee, Keep Pounding, hit No 1 on the Beatport hip-hop chart, a hugely important indicator of sales success, which led them to win the Beatport music award for hiphop track of the year 2012. Other achievements include racking up more than 50,000 YouTube hits for his re-edit of Duck Sauce's ubiquitous Barbra Streisand, put together alongside DJP. Pimpsoul tracks have found their way into the record boxes of acts as diverse as DJ Yoda and Krafty Kuts. The likes of A-Skillz, Beat Vandals, Mooqee, Fort Knox Five and Kiss FM's Ali B are also big fans - Pimpsoul has even been called in to co-host Ali's show.
