Our God Is

I was reading through the 3rd book of Psalms (Psalms 84) , when a prayer came up in me. 
"Lord, I don't know what you need to do through this situation, but I pray that it gets done quickly. Use me for that purpose. Use all who are willing."

Our goal is God Himself. 
In me there was a realization that God doesn't care so much about what we ask, but why we ask for such things. What is our intention? Yes we want protection from the virus, but why? 
Yes, Lord I want to know you, but why?
I ask that the next time you make a request to the Lord, just consider what the goal of your request is. That what I've been learning to do.

Realizing this made a huge difference. The Christian life isn't supposed to be Cushy. It's a mirror of the life that Jesus lived. Didn't matter if it was right or wrong. Didn't matter if it hurt or not. Didn't matter if it was fair. 
 The only thing that mattered was if Christ was with me.
