Description: I attached two LOM Geofons to a wire fence which surround a pond on the Ex Military Training Area Nature Reserve near Landshut, Bavaria Germany. I like the concussive sounds of the water drops and how the wind picks up and resonates through the wires.

An especially busy day underwater at one of my favorite hydrophone listening spots; the Marina Drive bridge between Long Beach and Seal Beach. I can hear croakers, for sure, and what may also be garabaldi. I have seen, and heard them over in the marina and the popping sound they make is pretty distinct.

A rookery in Landshut recorded early on a Sunday morning. I went back there the following Sunday with a parabolic microphone to record close ups of the bird calls. I´ve dropped them into my original mix. I think it gives a little more interest to the general recording.
There are at least 1000 rooks, jackdaws and a few crows roosting here in the centre of town. This area with many trees and two small streams incorporates the local hospital, the swimming baths and a town park. There´s not much human sound to hear except for the church bells which, I think give the recording an acoustic fingerprint of birds using the town as a safe refuge to roost. They come from a large area surrounding Landshut.

The first proper outdoor test of my new homemade 'Gladys' hydrophone.  Some common frogs in a neighbours garden pond.  Thanks Katie!  Pleased with how they sound.  Nice flat response.
