It really hit me just how much talent we lost with him, and how much the music scene has changed since. This song is far from perfect, but it was a lot of fun to create. And, by the way, there was no Mary – but then again, I’m not sure there was ever a Leroy Brown either.

이 서늘한 노래는 지식 추구에 헌신하다가 그가 살던 집의 복도를 헤매게 된 학자의 유령 이야기를 들려줍니다. 지적 헌신에서 오는 고독과 죽음 후에도 지속되는 연결에 대한 갈망을 탐구하며, 잊혀진 등불의 희미한 빛으로 상징화됩니다.

Verse 1
어둠 속에 그림자 흐르는 길,
학자의 유령, 잠 못 이루는 길.
잊혀진 잉크 담긴 등불 빛,
적었던 말들, 아무도 읽지 못했지.
책장 가득 고대의 벽,
그의 외로운 소리 들려주는 증인.
지혜를 얻었지만, 삶은 지나갔고,
진리를 찾아 사랑을 놓쳤네.

등불은 빛나지만 방은 차갑고,
지혜는 이야기 속에 새겨졌네.
빛을 찾았지만 길을 잃고,
이제 밤낮으로 헤매네.
잉크 속에 그의 영혼이 담겨,
숨겨진 말들의 죄수가 되었네.
등불의 빛은 희미하게 깜빡이고,
될 수 있었던 것들의 메아리만 남았네.

그의 펜은 종이에 춤추었지만,
이제는 공중에 떠다니네.
잉크는 신선했지만, 이제는 사라지고,
잃어버린 우정처럼, 치러야 할 대가.
고요 속에 속삭임이 시작되고,
잊혀진 마음의 조각들.
별을 쫓았지만, 새벽을 잃었고,
지혜를 찾다가 삶은 사라졌네.
