Good stuff

The band GROOVEFURY released their EP "Endless" in 2000.   The EP was originally released at shows in a limited edition and also online on an independent label startup called "Garageband." This site featured reviewing and ranking artists world wide before the Apple software of that name came out and was considered the premier independent label chart of the time as music broke into online media in larger ways.  All of these tracks were featured there, but 4 of them made it into the top 10.  You, Cripple, and Program all made it to number 1 and then settled in the top 3 for record lengths of time.  The band gained some notoriety with Warner Brothers records and was set to do a demo deal,  but was cut short from recording their second album due band lineup changes and legal troubles.  The band was an early blend of DJ hip hop influences within metal.   The band was told that the term Nu Metal was invented for them and then used to describe others of the time, where it quickly became overused and mostly abandoned.

The band went their separate ways in 2003 although keep in touch and continue to communicate with fans.  Guitars: Mike Wallace, Bass: Troy Sandoval, Drums: Brandon Taylor, and Vocals: Chuck "Shoq" Pollet.
