First draft of a new song. Experimenting with singing in a register that's very low for me: it's kinda difficult ;-)
Recorded on iPhone, dry.

Waiting - For - You - Draft - 1

New song in the works. First rough recording of it, to document it's journey. I suspect there is a lot that will change here, structurally and lyrically. Phone recording.

Next iteration of this song. Still not sure where it's going but seems to be moving in a burn inspired direction. Been thinking about fires and dancing and the loving, spiritual people I connected with. Piano just holds the rough chords, will hopefully improve on it ;-)

So made some more progress on this one. Slight modification to the piano in the 2nd part of the Verse and me ending. Still not sure about the one bridge/interlude but will leave it for now and see how it feels when playing live. Some lazy singing and piano mistakes, human.

22 June 2019 104921 Rolled The Dice Piano

Switched the lyrics around from "rise and fall" to "fall and rise" at someone's suggestion. Need to put in some proper piano. Might add some simple percussion at some point but going to leave it at this for now. I enjoyed some of the quiet harmonies. I also like the discordant harmony near the end, and all out of tune vocals ;-)

To Rise 1 (logic)

Version with piano and ad-hoc harmonies. I like the simplicity and feel. Going to re-record the whole song, try to get a better piano sound, and then work out some proper harmonies.
