Escapism (fka Mental Decay) is a Drum & Bass, Jungle & 140 DJ from Vienna (Austria) with more than a decade of experience behind the decks.

Since 2009 Escapism has supported acts like Break, Lenzman, Culture Shock, Serial Killaz, Aries, Urbandawn, Ownglow, BCee, Marcus Visionary and many more.

He played at festivals such as NuForms or Break&Lake, is a frequent guest DJ for many Austrian Drum&Bass outlets and has contributed mixes to Austrian national radio station FM4s "La Boum de Luxe" shows.

Their monthly show, PEPPA & The People, champions inclusivity in underground music, amplifying diverse voices and sounds.

With a unique perspective on DJing, PEPPA carefully curates 160bpm sets - seamlessly blending Footwork, Latincore, Jungle, Turbo Techno, Hardgroove and more, delivering a floor shaking sound that keeps crowds moving.

Beyond the decks, PEPPA is a passionate advocate for marginalised communities, striving to create spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated. Their recent invitation to speak on the UOB International Women’s Day panel allowed them to further engage with this aspect of their advocacy.
