For our fourth #IWD2020 mix, we have one of the biggest up and comers of the last few years, Sally C. If recent times have taught us anything, it’s that @sallycberlin isn’t messing about. The Belfast-born, Berlin-based DJ has stamped herself as one of the most exciting new artists on the scene, thanks wholly to her inspired selector skills. Sally developed her craft while living in Scotland where she went to study, running a night at Dundee hotspot The Reading Rooms. 

She moved to Berlin in 2015 and etched out a spot in the thriving club hub, throwing parties at Griessmuehle and her own open-air raves, all the while building a fanbase for her raw and chunky style. She will also be making starting waves with her own productions, set to be self released just before summer. Her IWD mix oozes eclectic selections and killer club cuts and is one not to miss.

- Ruff Stuff -

Italian born, Berlin based Gianfranco “Nanni” Barnaba, is the mind behind Ruff Stuff. Nanni have rocked up on a host on different labels, including Madhouse Records, Shall Not Fade, Suol, Quality Vibe and Neovinyl. However, it's the work on his own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which he’s arguably best renowned.

Grew up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start produce electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.

The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection. From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds. Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that marks the Ruff Stuff’s sound.

We've been doing our mix series for 6 years now but, as a lot of you know, we have a wealth of talent working behind the counter or packing your orders. A lot of us DJ, have a radio show or produce music and now we wanted to highlight some of our colleagues and give you an insight into what each of one us like.  In the ongoing lockdown, we wanted to shine a light on some our dedicated crew. 
First up is Govind aka Kylin Tyce - who you will find working most weekends at the shop.
