Kicking off with 'So Funky' which explodes into action like a funk bomb and features the legendary turntablist JFB! Next comes title track 'Boogie' which includes the super smooth vocals of Fullee Love (AKA Soup from Jurassic 5) and has already had the Craig Charles (BBC Radio) seal of approval for its infectious groove. Ant Thomas delivers a masterclass in refined and exquisite delivery on 'Flipping Ya Mind' which marches on continuously driven by plucked bass and an almighty horn section. Finally 'Livin for Tonight' sees NattySpeaks and Profit flowing powerfully over super tight production and a vocal hook that will be with you long after the track has finished. An outstanding Ep and just a start of things to come!

We’ve been supporting Funkanizer since the good ol’ Scour blog days of 2011. Nine times Scoured, and twice officially released. It’s our pleasure to welcome him back with his 'Down With The Birds' Freemix.

He brings with him that old-school sound that he does so well. Punchy kicks and crisp snares, just the right amount of wobbly goodness, and of course – a choice sample that’s set to get your dance-floors grooving.

Kibosh makes a welcome return to Bombstrikes with two tracks that simply ooze with the funk. As always, the Aussie funk maestro has delivered the goods in his own inimitable style, keeping musicality high on the agenda whilst at the same time making things sound simple, which is no mean feat. First up 'Loopback' places horn stabs and vocals from Canadian legend Timothy Wisdom over funk guitar riffs and swinging bass grooves to pull the listener in, while the second track 'Fire' delivers a P-Funk-esque bass workout alongside elements of Jazz to devastating effect. Two tracks that walk the line between bass heavy goodness and funk perfectly and all done with a touch of class.
