DJ Marcon & The Palos Santos, the Afro-beat band from Bulgaria, we are proud to have them back with their brand new song Idu Idu Dama. The song features lyrics performed by the new band member and uprising Senegalese vocalist Ousmane Diallo. 

Idu Idu Dama begins with a mesmerising guitar melody theme and continues with a deep african feeling, warm keys and an impressive sax section plus those wonderful vocals from Ousmane. Everything is cooked with a laidback afrobeat rhythm that gives an original downtempo vibe to the song's arrangement. 

Ilko along with his bass player Wah Tony, takes over with a remix treatment over the song and he provides a fantastic electronic downtempo groove with a slow-mo and four on the floor concept that transforms the original song into a warm balearic afro style groove.

Thanks go to Finn Notman (The Groovers) for putting me onto the wonderful original version of this track - a bittersweet slo-mo jam which for me is one of the best break-up records I've heard. In saying that, the lyrical hook is so cryptic you can read into it whatever you like.
