a strange world beyond the purple swirls, a world beyond comprehension in its vastness, yet so contained within some sort of inpenetrable rock above and below me.
this heat is overwhelming, and something more is it feels hostile and dangerous, but i cannot help but be entranced by the beauty before me - a little exploration couldn't hurt, right?

a sort of oasis

beneath the waves is a world mostly undiscovered, it teeths with a huge bounty of life and colour - it's mesmerising. though, these shores are more shallow than i expected, but these deep gashes in the ocean floor seem to grant entry to caverns far deeper below.. i hope i can handle the pressure.

mental health wise i wish i could say i was fine, but i could feel so much better for someone who just finished a project that was in the works for 18 months.

I originally started this track back in August, way before I went on vacation; was having a depressive episode, so this is basically my auditory representation of that emotion - what could be beautiful and calm melodies is taken up by oppressive, vast noise and dissonant chords.

Anyways, the void's unfathomable vastness awaits, join me on my journey into the lands deep into the great nothing.

volume 2 begins.
i want to take a sort of more ambiguous storytelling direction with the project this time, using the music to loosely tell a story, but still leave a lot to interpretation.

as i explore this vast, clustered forest, a beautiful, angelic light fills the night sky - its majesty coats the world in a plethora of different colours, some not even seen before or thought possible. yet as it passes in a matter of minutes and the world returns to bleak darkness, a faint sense of danger lingers on the horizon - i'm not the only one out here, am i?

if beyond was representative of the depressing atmosphere of the end, this is representative of the anxieties the ancient cities' atmosphere presents. the impending doom of the watchful wardens constantly hangs over this desolate place - perhaps they weren't always here, or they weren't meant to be here.

paranoia

this track was very much a concept, i made this about 2 weeks ago and was contemplating even posting this since i wasn't entirely sure about it cuz anxiety sucks.
for the first time in one of my own tracks, i played the piano myself in my work, and whilst i'm not amazing at piano i feel like i did something okay here.
hope you guys like this, sorry for the 5 month gap.

about time i gave the nether some love again.

through the shrieking valleys and howling wastes, i find myself in something that perhaps at one time, was a thriving citadel - yet what remains is a shallow yet haunting shell of what once was. though, i can't help but feel enticed to uncover more of what remains; its an opportunity i cannot pass up.

desolate paradise

silhouettes of great obelisks permeate the fog as a sense of dread washes over me, with slender, nightmarish figures across this desolate landscape - but yet one sound doesn't just break the quiet murmurs and footsteps, it shatters it entirely.

the roars, the deafening roars.

the vast valleys of this long-lost world reek of death, with the decayed remains of ancient, fallen beasts dotted about as if they were mere gravestones.. yet, i hear the screams of countless souls among the crackling of blue fire and the passing winds, as if they had been unfortunately cast here and trapped for all eternity for one reason or another, like some sick punishment - maybe that explains the faces in the sand. 
one can only imagine what had transpired here. i must find out.

no rest for the wicked

Here I recycled the introduction of "Off The Beaten Track" because I found it deep and gripping and I wanted to give it more depth and singularity. I hope I succeeded.

That being said, I also wanted to draw attention to the synchronicity of this piece and my current psychological state. Indeed, during the period when I created this piece, I was precisely in a reflexion and a retrospective on the fact that I had created a real caesura with certain things in my life (toxic people around me / toxic situations / conflicting thoughts / my vision of things as well as my way of interacting with my direct environment, among others), so even if I am not specifically one of those who think that each things / works finds a particular echo and a deep meaning in certain parts of our life, I find that this piece perfectly describes these thoughts there, deeply. It is even disturbing. So much so that one could really interpret this piece as a sound metaphor of these thoughts.
