Guitar music is not dead, that’s the message that Julia, heralding from the Steel City of Sheffield, are out to prove as they rocket their first songs into the public sphere in early 2015. They’ve spent the first 10 months of their existence plugging away in their post Industrial practice space, which was once a facet of the city’s famous steel industry, but now provides the confines for them to hone their unique take on classic music.
 
The band made up of Matt Hall (vocals; ex-Violet May), Andy Martin (Guitar; ex-Dead World Leaders), Joe Smith (Drums) and Will Hitchmough (Bass) mix anthemic with ambient in their take on powerful indie rock. They combine powerful vocal melodies, intricate guitar, humming bass and carefully constructed drums to create an emotional sound that draws influence from a number of sources.
