Having made a name for himself through a string of choice releases for the likes of Nous’klaer and Delsin, Dutch producer Konduku has been turning heads with his ever innovative take on the techno medium. Pushing for new directions, Konduku’s been laying down intriguing blends of dubbed-out, Afro-infused grooves and plural strains of abstract-leaning, breaks-friendly hybrids. The present mix showcases the breadth of his influences and essential components, extrapolating techno’s genre-transcending nature through a fine mix of heavily verbed-out electronics and shape-shifting buildup, never quite going where you’d expect it, rather seeking the excitement of suspenseful arcs and unsuspected developments. Bold as it should.

For many years, he was responsible for curating the Trip Vision parties in Celorico de Basto, further cementing his influence within his local purpose. As both a DJ and promoter, he possesses a rare talent for navigating the most linear corners of deep techno ambiences, seamlessly exploring its more obscure subgenres. There’s beauty in chaos and method to madness, that much is true to the work of this faceless duo from Sweden. SHXCXCHCXSH’s strain of anarchic noise has sparked conversations and head-spinning records ever since the two producers first swapped notes in 2009. For about a decade, Hannes Stenström and Emmanuel Pascal Moreno stayed out of the public eye as a matter of principle, stripping music to its very base, without the weight of prejudice and social context holding it back: ’we prefer to listen to music in the dark, preferably without knowing who made it, when or how’. From the chaos and their loyalty to instinct came the need to find new structures, and so their faceless records united around a theme or musical element. It was a gamble, but their sledgehammer destruction of techno conventions gave some of the most intriguing sounds of the 2010s. Sampling everything from podcasts to YouTube to field recordings, they’re always on the hunt for ‘in-between’, ‘unintentional’ details, a way to composite the strangest and most innovative techno out there. Their staggering releases on Avian pioneered new sounds (and track names), and successfully manufactured the type of music you could hear both at home and in clubs; and 2024 saw them resurrect their Rösten imprint with the release of DO, an infernal four-tracker made for the dancefloor. Bassiani Podcast 257 explores that format further, bringing their stabbing and psychedelic havoc to a crowd facing setting. Immersive and heavy-duty, this one’s an hour-long clip of their snake-pit percussions, mind-bending techno from the enigmatic Norrköping duo.

En este EP de cuatro pistas, se entrelazan raíces ancestrales con visiones distópicas del porvenir. Cada track es una invocación: ritmos tribales que laten como tambores ceremoniales se funden con texturas sintéticas, líneas de bajo densas y atmósferas que evocan paisajes urbanos iluminados por neones y envueltos en humo digital.
Inspirado en rituales antiguos pero mirando hacia un horizonte cyberpunk, este trabajo refleja mi estilo personal: crudo, hipnótico y cargado de intención. Es un viaje sonoro donde lo primitivo se conecta con lo post-humano, donde la pista de baile se transforma en un espacio de trance moderno.

ENGLISH:
In this four-track EP, ancestral roots intertwine with dystopian visions of the future. Each track is an invocation: tribal rhythms that beat like ceremonial drums merge with synthetic textures, dense bass lines and atmospheres that evoke urban landscapes illuminated by neon and enveloped in digital smoke.
Inspired by ancient rituals but looking towards a cyberpunk horizon, this work reflects my personal style: raw, hypnotic and loaded with intention. It is a sonic journey where the primitive connects with the post-human, where the dancefloor is transformed into a space of modern trance.
