Belfast brothers Cocktail Cool are a dynamic DJ & Producer duo composed of Timmy & Scott. With a shared passion for music, Cocktail Cool have started to make waves in the electronic music scene over the past few years.

From a young age, music was more than just a hobby for these brothers - it was a dream they aspired to fulfill together. Cocktail Cool’s sound is a seamless blend of genres, drawing inspiration from Chicago House, early 2000s UK Tech House, and Rominimal techno. Their music is deeply influenced by renowned DJs and producers such as Daft Punk, Kerri Chandler, Apollonia, Terry Francis, Raresh, Layo & Bushwacka, Ricardo Villalobos, J Dilla, Pete Rock, and A Tribe Called Quest, among many others.

Cocktail Cool has an impressive portfolio of releases on several esteemed labels, including Whoyostro, Conceptual, Hustler Trax, Purism, Street Tracks, CHIWAX, and Snake Beat. Each release has garnered significant attention from the previous, further establishing their presence in the industry.

Their energetic DJ performances and unique sound have quickly gained them a following, culminating in a strings of high profile gigs across their hometown of Belfast. With a promising trajectory ahead, Cocktail Cool continues to push their own boundaries and share their passion for music with audiences far and wide.

Originally written by John Russell, a gifted songwriter from Peterborough whose early work once shimmered with promise before life took an unexpected turn, this track has been reborn through the visionary efforts of Stark D and the innovative production touch of Dashdot.
In 2021, while sifting through a trove of archival tunes, Stark D rediscovered the unreleased gem "Commonplace." Recognising its potential, he immediately contacted John Russell to reimagine the song, inviting him to lend his soulful vocal delivery to the project. Soon after, Stark D brought his longtime collaborator Dashdot on board to add dynamic synth layers, infusing the track with a fresh and modern vitality.
The result is a heady blend of deep progressive techno and melodic house & techno, driven by a pulsating bassline and punctuated by a striking lead that is designed to set dance floors alight. "Commonplace feat. John Russell" captures an irresistible fusion of nostalgic emotion and contemporary club energy, promising to resonate with DJs and dance music connoisseurs alike.
This project is a celebration of artistic revival and creative collaboration, bridging the gap between a forgotten classic and today’s electronic music landscape.
