The Housemonkey Music movement evolved through a collaborative decision among artists and administrators that were fed up with greedy records labels to create an organization that encourages creativity, community, and an environment where artists can work on their music freely without distraction or concern.

 The vision of our movement began in June 2014 in Limpopo, South Africa. Piece by piece we put together an international management team (Symphonic Distribution & Imusician) who understands the industry and our role as a management company that has a vested interest in helping our artists grow and advance their careers. 
We pride ourselves as being a youthful and forward thinking management company that embraces innovation, takes advantage of cutting-edge Internet strategies and international our network of affiliates , while still understanding the invaluable knowledge we can gain from industry veterans. 

Housemonkey Music is first and foremost an initiative of good-will. We are about maintaining our uncompromising core values of focusing on providing the resources and services needed so our artists can focus on their music. We reinvest everything into developing new talent for the love of the music. 
We remain focused on our role as administrators, facilitators, and a support network for our artists. We take pride in being the main source of management, booking and production of music regardless of genre. 


John Richardson, also known as, DJ Superstar J. R. has been a professional disc jockey (DJ) for 17 years.  He  was a resident DJ at the Atrium @ TreeTops and Classics Night Club in MD as well as at Ritz Night Club in DC.  Currently he is a resident DJ at Triple Nines Bar & Billiards.  Superstar J. R. entertains diverse groups of clients by beat-mixing any of the following genres of music: Bachata, Contemporary Christian, Country, Disco, Funk, Go-Go, Gospel, Hip Hop, House, Pop, R&B, Reggae, Salsa Merengue, Techno, Top 40, World Music, Old School and New School music.  In addition to beat-mixing mp3, Superstar J. R. has added MP4s/videos and Karaoke to his repertoire.  

Superstar J. R. has a wealth of music knowledge and a keen sense of programming music.  He has experience performing for school proms, weddings, corporate holiday events, community events, political events and high profile clients.  All of his clients are stars so he provides great customer service starting with properly communication with them, wedding coordinators, managers, and event staff.  Moreover, Superstar J. R. has over 17 years experience as an ordained minister, educator (teacher/assistant principal) and does motivational speaking as well community activism.
