Former Opera singer, producing house and performing is for me is a natural continuation of my need of expression of myself through music. Opera is present in the sense of dramma that is in my music´s heart beat. And I truly mean every kick I write into my tracks and remixes!
Already branded as anticonformist I am not inclined to following common path. Instead of striving to do best what everyone else is doing well, I am looking into the future asking : What is next?

I spend my time between Spain, UK, Australia and Brazil. That´s where I get my inspiration.

I am looking to collaborate with songwriters, poets, composers and producers.

Chased by Creatures is the recording name of 23 year old Montreal-Canadian multi-instrumental musician, composer and performer Cedric Melançon.

Since picking up the guitar at 13 he has participated in countless projects, contests, concerts and local performances and also became proficient in recording with various instruments (guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard). In addition, by recording under various aliases he has experimented in diverse musical styles from folk to rap and English and French song writing. These demos are currently available on Bandcamp, Soundcloud and Spotify. Cedric is also passionate about helping other local artists by arranging, playing and recording their demos in his home studio. 

Currently, he plans to promote his newest project, Chased by Creatures, which is exemplified by a more mature sound and a unique mix of present-day alternative styles with echoes of his own diverse musical tastes including The Beatles, Damien Rice and Bob Dylan. Chased by Creatures’ lyrics reflect a restless mind putting it all out there for us to listen, including compelling storytelling fueled by emotions, yearning, anger and the breath of the creatures relentlessly chasing him.
