It's a time hopping edition of the economy comedy podcast this week as Paul and Eli take a trip back to the 1970s and the 1990s. One ends up being far more troubling than the other... In Paul's Page Turners, Paul brings along a book that is both a fascinating insight into "lad culture" of the 1990s and a depressing deep dive through a book designed to teach you "how to be a bloke". It's all a bit grotty, really, but that's what you get when you buy FHM's "Little Book of Bloke". We apologise in advance. In Silverman's Platter's this week, we hop back to 1970's New York City, specifically the area known as the Bowery. Paul & Eli listen to the "New York City" album that tries to capture the sounds and atmosphere of a colourful and complicated part of the city. If nothing else, it's eye opening! Join us on a cheap trip through time! It's going to be a bumpy ride!

What would you do if you had agonising back pain and you couldn't concentrate because of said ailment? In Paul's case, he decides to press on with a podcast recording. Ep 173: Crisp Edgelord

This episode was seemingly cursed! Damaged audio files, lost footage, crashed hard drives, laptop meltdowns. It's almost as though this episode didn't want to exist. Well, it does and now you have to deal with it. We apologise in advance.
This week, Ash Frith (irregular wayward co-host) joins Paul and Eli for more thifty findings and incredible edibles. Eli gets to wrap his taste buds across a selection of sauces, crisps and, most importantly, juicy fat pickles. At least he is enjoying himself as all Ash and Paul can do is listen on in horror.
Finally, we end this week's episode with an experiment. The Cheap Chaps put on their acting hats and attempt a performance of a new piece of writing called "Marion's Wish" (written by Tim Heidecker, Gregg Turkington and Mark Proksch)...
As you can imagine, between their unrehearsed attempt and Paul's fat, stupid mouth, it doesn't go well.
In fact they pretty much ruin it. Sorry.

Ep 183: Pandora's Rub

Another week, another box of crisps to wade through, and this week, they have been sent to us from Australia! Which is nice. What this ultimately means is that Eli will attempt an Australian accent for most of this taste test. It will definitely test Paul's patience, that's for sure. However, this delightful wander through the snack pastures of Down Under will be ruined by a Gannon's Golden Games, that is, quite frankly, a let down. How much of a let down? Well the most exciting thing that happens is when Paul nearly throws the whole game in to jeopardy before they can even begin! At least it gives them both a chance to play with their balls beforehand. It's another "common or garden" s***show!
